The only thing is he himself NEVER claimed to be anything but a man, at least to my knowledge. He had better things to do with his time on earth then write a 10 page essay how how he created the universe. Well if you are just going to say its god and thats that! I'm glad you can admit defeat ^_^ |

And the table leg Yep "In the beginning, Confucius created the universe." where do you get this from? Someone had do do it, and Confucius is the only guy around with super powers. but i cannot expect others to believe it with out evidence of some kind to show why or how he is a god. I don't know about that, people will believe some crazy crap ;) What proof did Muhammad have other then his own word? |

"the Being perfect in power, wisdom, and goodness who is worshiped as creator and ruler of the universe" I believe that he is a being perfect in power, wisdom, and goodness. And I worship him as the creator and ruler of the universe, therefore, he is worshiped as the creator of the universe, therefore, he is a god. Just like the Flying Spaghetti Monster, is a god, and just like Jehovah is a god. |

In the beginning, Confucius created the universe.
That's how it happened... The definition of god doesn't require him to actually do it, just for someone, somewhere, to believe he did it, and here i am, therefore, Confucius is a god. except to you - which i guess is what you mean It seems we have come to an understanding. |

Thats fine. I would only disagree with your concept of god. I would define Confucius as a philosopher. A human male. Not a deity. That does not effect your beliefs. You have simply been unconvincing. Well it would be allot easier if you would reveal you definition of god... By the way, you're a horrible debater. |

Im assuming I am only responding to the last paragraph? I in fact went down the list of your copy and pasted definition of god and compared with the websites you have provided thus far and the information about who Confucius was, no he is not a god. Can you show me how he is a god? I did, i did over and over. I worship him as "the principle ruling over all as eternal spirit" That's me, I do that, not a big club. But, he is still my god. My god. I believe that. |

Well thats what you have been saying since this pointless discussion began. me Well my god is Confucius you Confucius is not a god. me well we got everything we need to be our own religion you I asked if Confucius was considered a god. me Define god You Me ok then lets use marrain websters definitions you So your argument is that YOU define him as god, neiner neiner? That was my statement from the very beginning. Could you disprove him under the definitions i gave? No So, under my definitions, he is a god. You have another definition of god (that you are apparently ashamed of) that is ok, i never said he was your god, i said "my god is Confucius". Well lets see. He is not worshiped as creator and ruler of the universe. He is by me, my very existence disproves your point. I did not see on any of the web sites you provided where he was considered the principle ruling over all as eternal spirit or infinite mind Once more, he is by me, if you really need a website to tell you what i believe, then i could update my blog for you. He is not defined as a being or object believed to have more than natural attributes and powers and to require human worship, I am prepared to define him as such. He might have been considered a person or thing of supreme value to some people but so would any philosopher. That does not elevate him to the status of god that I am familiar with. Apparently you are not familiar with any definition of god, you would not give a definition, so i did, and now you criticize the definition i gave? I don't think you could clearly define him as a powerful ruler though he did have state backing.(and funding presumably) He's spirit still rules over much of Asia... Wanna fight about it? |
