I will do no good to go to the police unless someone saw her take it. It's like someone said, it's your word against hers. Yes, but I believe in Karma and this woman pay back is coming if she doesn't come clean and give them back to me. |

I would have to confront her as well... Just say that you took them off there and maybe they fell under the couch, in the couch or maybe the dog took off with them... But that you would like to come in and have her help you look for them... If she is any kind of a friend she would not have a issue with you looking... If you find them then I would re-consider that friendship.. due to her actions when you went back~~  Hope you find them~~ The first time I knock on her door she told me "I'm on the phone" I called her than she hang up on me. I went to the police, file a report then went to Kay where my ex bought them so I can't get them replace because I don't have renters insurance. If you went to the police and filed a police report what did they say? The police asked me if I was saying that she stole them, I told them I left my items there and she just kept them. It seems to me that the police should at the very least follow up on that and ask the neighbor about it. They are not doing their job if they do nothing. He gave me he's card with a file number from the report that he made so I brought it to Kay Jewelry. But I don't have renters insurance is the reason I couldn't do anything. :( Having renters insurance has nothing to do with the police report. She kept your property and that is theft. With the way she was avoiding you that to me should tell the police that she knows something. Yes, you're right about that. I probably going to talk to the police again because for some reason seems like they don't really want to do their job. |

I doubt there is anything you can do legally so I'm not sure if you have any options other than possibly filing with your homeowners insurance. I already talked with the manager and she told me "Is really nothing I can do because is my word against hers" |
