It has been a very long time but now I am back. So hi there!!

Well hi I am Mariska and well like everybody here (or assuming most) I am looking for someone to spent time with.

I am from the netherlands but I always found that love, real love, is limitless so decided to see if I can find that one person that can make me feel like I am his special someone (everyone wants that no?)

So first a bit about me:

I am as I am writing this 26 years young. Enjoying a study for makeup artist and of course I want to specialise myself in special effects. I would like to work in that field.

I am then also working very hard to get to that level :).

I often like to be silly and am easy going, I enjoy a good laugh.

I am pretty much a gamer when I have the time for it at least :D so when I have nothing to do then you will often turn on the pc and play a nice videogame.

I have a love for foreign languages and especially the swedish language I am particularly fond of.

Am a very loyal girl when I am in a relationship, when I decide to be with someone I will be comitted for a 100%.

So what am I looking for in a guy?
I am looking for someone who wants to go all the way with me. Meaning to be loyal, sweet and just wants to be there for me as I will no doubtly be there for him. I would like a guy who supports my choices and Just accepts me the way I am.

Well that is about it really. :)

Hmmmm.....got a....voicy voice.....yup that's right!

But in all honesty though, i find it hard to describe my voice, although i am known to have like this squeaky voice when excited over something, making my voice sound very young.

Although i can also sounds extremely mature when deep in contemplation. But generally just the happy-pappy silly voice i normally have :)

Oh, tough question that one. ... Since i really love to simply visit every place on the world. I am probably even crazy enough to go to those dangerous places also!

But currently just feel like visiting sweden again, i simply love the country.

I did, it was the most amazing feeling for me. I felt like nothing could stop me with what I wanted to do and no matter what he would always have my back.

Unfortunately that ended and in the most horrible way. Only felt like that once before and my heart for shattered into a million pieces when it broke.

I still think however that it is worth the pursuit and that is of course also something I am chasing for, won't settle for less!!!

I have had a couple long distance loves....They aren't easy. But then again no relationship is.drinker

this is true, I myself had a relationship with an american for almost five years, It was tough but we had a lot of communication, although every relationship requires good communication, relationships at a long distance need it even moreso and we actually pulled it off till things went sour.

SO personally I do not mind it at all, I mean honestly I do not know a single girl/woman or wife who did not had any fantasy's about having her heart stolen by some hot foreign guy ;)

I know I sure did! (and secretly I still do? :P)

Even though the distance will put a lot of stress on your relationship, I think if you communicate and show love and affection for your partner it should be fine, generally speaking. XD

I remember falling for someone from another country. Not sure if it would last. The weird thing was, i was kinda hoping he'd notice me one day, and he did. I felt like my prayer had been answered. My heart did a little skip. lol. I was just so happy he wanted me. So yes, long distance doesn't put me off. As for accents, northern irish, London/Cockney, geordie accents all turn me on.

Oh I know exactly what you mean! I kinda got the same thing when I hear swedish, just makes me feel giggedy ^_^

Giggedy? Is that like when some of us mean 'Giddy'? I'm sure that's what you mean. That feeling like you wanna run down the street with excitement. And where you don't stop smiling all day :)

That is exactly what I mean (I think!!) In any case if I hear swedish I get this big strange grin on my face and if no one places me on a chair I hop up and down like a crazed rabbit XD

What are you expecting from your date, when you find Her/Him.

Hmm, I would expect him to be sweet and respectful for who I am and for what I value, even though I do not expect him to uphold the same values as me, at least he should respect that I do.

Well, I would at least expect him to show affection for me, it is easy to take someone out for a drink but it would be cruel to lead a girl on and when you take her out not to show her any kind of affection during the date.

of course I hold old school values even though they do seem rather outdated in this modern day, I do have however a faint hope that the guy would have the strength to actually pay for the drinks.

If he makes me pay for them then he better be a hell of a good kisser! :D

Of course I do expect to be able to have an actual conversation with him, nothing is as terrible as to sit at a table and simply stare at one another....

what's your opinion on FWB relationship

I could never do that, once I kiss and share the bed with someone, I get almost immediately attached. Not sure if that is a bad thing or not but that is how it is XD

For me it is all or nothing ...

Okay, I am curious if there are many people who think the same as me and if not I am open for discussion of course :)

Who are willing to date someone who lives abroad? (long distance relationship) And if so, do you have a preference for nationality (example: mexicans, asian, swedes, etc)

I know it sounds like a strange question, but I am sure we all have had these fantasy's (From what I know most of us ladies do at least!)

I personally do not really care about the nationality but I know that certain nationalities do attract my attention, like swedes and americans. For the swedes it was more because they have such a sexy language in my opinion and the americans, well they are nice people so far and I know they are kind of contradicting to one another :)

So I was simply curious what the rest of the community had in mind ;)

U write a lot

you do too with your 415 posts :P But I do like to express myself with a lot of words, and hopefully in proper grammar.

In any case, you shouldn't be sad, it only makes you stronger and more educated, all these experiences will teach you how to spot a faker and someone who is actually true.

so, do nto give up! :D

I believe in a long distance relationship, it all went well for over 5 years as we were also often, if not basically all the time talking to one another.

To me, communication is vital in a relationship, so if you have good communication and show your affection for that person as often as you can (often you show it more cause you cannot be with that special someone.) Then I believe it can go well.

It only went downhill for me cause he got jealous on a friendship I had with another guy, who happened to be my best friend, and gay.

But in short it ended up him not trusting me. So I think that a relationship, no matter the distance, can work as long as you have good communication and trust. Sometimes that is not enough but that depends on the person I believe.....

Ur acting stupid..

I guess that is aimed at me? As I said in my introduction I am a rather silly person, you don't like it? Then do not comment and just ignore it then we are all going to be biiiig friends :)

I don't think anyone likes to be insulted to be called stupid, just sayin'. :)

Hello!

Well, my name is Mariska and I am 24 years old, I am dutch and I am rather silly in general, with every now and then I have my serious moments.

Why did I join this site you ask? Well, because I am looking for someone who actually wants to have a serious relationship! So far all I got were let downs and the people I know in my town are a bit of a let down as well (for the most part that is).

So what am I looking for you ask?

Well, first of a guy, I am a straight woman (sorry ladies!) and frankly I do not really care wether or not he lives closeby. I have had a long distance relationship for many years and it works for me as long as I know the guy is honest and comitted to the relationship that he and I are having.

I am a bit of a romantic novel person so obviously I would name many things that would come up in many (girly porn books!) uhm girly novels....

I just want someone who is committed and serious in what we have and respect me for who and what I am. So, in short just looking for that special someone who I have this spark with. Don't care about looks or anything, personality is all important to me :)

well, this was my little introduction that is almost as big as an essay or something!

In any case I do hope I can make a lot of friends here and hopefully find that special someone who I can be all loveydovey with :)

cheers!
Not as long as a lot of other ones.

Darn! Now you destroyed my bubble!! XD

I wish my heart was cold. And then I could go about my day not caring or worrying. Maybe then I could sleep. Seems so many are that way anymore. They go about their day using and abusing leaving behind broken pieces for someone else to clean up and they don't miss a wink of sleep either.

I nkow the feeling, I used to have that issue myself not so long ago, I was so in love with this guy, it ended up him breaking my heart and then I fell in love again and he did the same thing.

For a while it made me wonder if love was really something to persuit, but at the end of the day I think it is worth fighting for! Even if only for a little while you can be in the presence of that one person you know you can trust and love indefinitely.

That is worth all the heartache and struggle in my opinion.

All I am saying to you and everyone else who has had their hearts broken so many times: DONT GIVE UP! THEY ARE OUT THERE SOMEWHERE!

Again I wrote a small little essay while I am on the search myself. But I believe there is someone out there who I can be myself with and share the fun stuff with, that thought makes it all worth it :)
