I think that feelings can and are conveyed through sex. True emotional
depth that sustains relationships require a wide array of communication.
Lack of sex is lack of intimacy on an emotional level. Sex is certainly
an indicator of the health of an intimate relationship but there is alot
more being exchanged between two people besides bodily fluids when done
right

I think after nearly ten years of not having any sexual interest in your
spouse it would be damn near impossible to bring the heat back. If the
woman is holding out to that degree than I can only guess she's been
wounded and possibly defeated emotionaly. She may be totally turned off
by him. The marriage turns into a cold war. I am of the belief that men
typically express themselves emotionaly within their relationships
through sex, which in of itself isn't bad but is often misinterpreted by
women because we need words and relating. Obviously there is a huge
breakdown to not want to share sexually with each other.

Well, let me ask you gentlemen this, when in a relationship are you more
apt to express yourselves emotionally through sex, than say through
talking?

I wasn't married very long and yeah after the kid came the sex slowed
down alot. I come across tidbits here and there that this is common. I
was just wonderin what other people thought about it.

Chick with issues, eh? It's something I wonder about because I have a
good friend who hasn't gotten any from his wife since they conceived
their son nearly 9 years ago. I am shocked myself...I just don't get
it!

Hello everyone!

This my first time posting and was inspired to do so after reading all
of your comments. I was inspired to ask what you all think on the
subject when reading the cheating topic.

We all know that the passion wanes as the relationship between a man and
woman begins to mature, but what happens when it completely disappers?
What happens when a life has been built and a family is being raised but
there is no intamacy in the marriage and little to no hope of getting it
back? How important is it to express love sexually in a marriage and
what happens when it's more important to one partner than it is the
other?
