All it takes is a single passing glance at the old tattered storybooks stacked on the top shelf. They're gathering dust, those old friends of mine. The first place from I learnt what romance was. Fairytale like. I'm sure when I have a daughter, I'll read her the same Cinderella and Sleeping Beauty. But what about me? Us? Are we still looking for Prince Charming? Albeit with some adjustments?;-)

My mom says when I was young I'd say I want to marry a prince who'll buy me glass slippers. Not only does that sound impractical today, it also makes me laugh at my childish dreams...I'd like a prince, sure..with charm, benevolence and brains. But happily ever after? Where's the fun in that? What good is a boyfriend if he doesn't piss you off? Doesn't make you go crazy? Doesn't do unimaginable things to make it up to you?

Has my fairytale updated? Well, who knows? A I know is that my prince charming got more ruggedly charming with age!!;-)

I don't have demands! I'm not high-maintenance! I just know what works and what doesn't!;-)
