Mental illness does exist. There are many factors that contribute such as GMO's ie: the food we consume, traumatic events and genetic makeup. However, I do believe pharmaceutical companies profit from made up conditions that are nothing more than excuses for the inability to deal with the realities of life. Media/technology have and are creating a population of instant gratification personalities. When life doesn't appear to be a non stop experience of blissful happiness, many do not have coping tools due to belief in what they are told happiness is supposed to look like. Also superficial images that make people judge themselves as ugly or dysfunctional. While mental illness is real and should not be stigmatized, the PERCEPTION thereof is used for profits and mass control through medication and unrealistic understanding about the various realities about life. The mind is powerful. Our thoughts manifest our realities.
