I'm NORMALLY a non-violent person but when you scare the hell outta me and my adrenalin starts surgin'...I'll knock your *** flat!! LOL I've done it before, but not to a "bad guy"...More like family that thought it would be funny to scare me, and once to a dentist that tried to yank a tooth out before it was fully numb!! lol So yea, I'd very likely pick up the bat and re-arrange his thought process for him...permanently!! LOL
