I am guessing you meant employers don't care about employees. And, with the attitude you admitted to above, it does make you easily replaced.

Fact is, many people are easily replaced and many employers don't care much about their employees. Outsourcing is proof of this.

BECAUSE they only do the bare minimum, which makes them as worthless as a prostitute. You know the old saying, another one will be coming around the block any minute, and then around and around and around that block again LOL Deadwood, to me, is much like the lazy person who just wants to cheapen themself by laying on their back and pretending they are "earning" that pay (can you tell I really think whores are sick and disgusting ? LOL) IF you MAKE yourself as disposable as toilet paper, you will be disposed of, usually so the employer can afford to pay the REAL workers.

I think we are more angry, mostly because we have fewer coping and people skills taught to us or promoted in our communities.

More like we are used to being raised with such, but the immigrants don't want to assimilate to our civilized society, and the crimes against us keep mounting, without any relief in sight, since our govt won't enforce the border laws. Those from other countries have different cultures and customs that fly right in the face of those held by the average American. And for the most part, they are considered ugly, backward, and many times just plain unsanitary. Being repeatedly told that I should accept the unacceptable and show tolerance and compassion to those who do not give it, is why push comes to shove, when enough is enough.

I think the anger would be there without the issue of immigrants. The culture has slowly melded into an egocentric one where the majority dont feel a concern or obligation to their community or their neighbor. Cell phones and computers allow everyone to be their own GOD and pretty much ignore human contact and disregard human concern. We have lost a sense of caring about the WE and sadly become a nation of caring only about the ME (and my pocket)..

I disagree. Alothough it isn't ONLY immigrants, they are a significant part of the problem. I understand that there are those who are protected from this invasion, but those of us who aren't, we don't even need to read the news to find out how much of our federal budgets that are being stolen. We have them close enough, in real life, to have already been suffering directly from their criminal culture. Have stolen about $75K from me alone, not including all the rat bait, home repairs, landscaping repairs etc I have had to pay for since they moved in. Now, gonna tell me why I shouldn't be pissed as hell and want them gone?
And, when having this going on outside your door, wouldn't that tend to have you staying inside, cranking the ipod so you didn't have to listen to all of their SCREAMING babies, that they leave out in the yard for hours unattended (probably why these little kids are screaming so much) in yards filled with nothing but trash and health and safety hazards?

Gator "You opinion about "crimes against us keep mounting" is not supported by any evidence"
If you want to find out what a lie that is, tell you the same thing I told a poster who claimed these people do not get welfare, food stamps etc. Come on by, I will SHOW you the proof of how far off your remarks are.
"and show an incredible intolerance with comments like, "And for the most part, they are considered ugly, backward, and many times just plain unsanitary." Good luck...you appear to need it."
Look over my fence, all you need to know that was an out of line attack for stating the truth.

Bonny, you assume that these doctors etc coming from the third world countries are COMPETENT. BIG mistake. Had a doc from eastern Europe tell me point blank that she knew nothing about what I had scheduled the appt for, since they didn't even teach that at the medical school she had graduated from. Idiot next door, got his degree in construction in Mexico, and when he did the remodeling on his home here in Washington he didn't install any insulation, and now has 3 homes flooding because he collapsed the drainage system. The furnace uses gas, and even the guy from the gas company, telling them that the thing was malfunctioning and had to be fixed, was completely blown off, so we have that stuff pumping out of a pipe 10' from our windows 24/7.

Shall I go on?

As far as the good old days, I AM old enough to remember them, they did exist, and would really love to have them back.

Bonny "the mother proudly stated " Well, he's not used to saying please and thank you at home, why should he have to say it here?"............. "
Part of the good old days was that something like that sure wouldn't have happened. NON PARENTS are a group I actually DO HATE. Non assimilating immigrants just tick me off, big difference.

brett, "How are you factoring individual intolerance into what I presented? This is a discussion on Social Tolerance and discriminatory legislation against a part of society, and their individual liberties. "
Then you are WWWAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY off base. The intolerance is BY the gays and against the majority and long held traditions, standards, rules, customs, cultural norms...The hate crime legislation is discrimination against straight people, and doesn't give gays anything they didn't have except legal backing to VICTIMIZE OTHERS. If you don't even see that, or understand it, then sure not going to bother with the rest of your post. You just seem too confused on this subject to discuss it.
In a following one you wrote
"It's when you apply a law against a specific group that is become discriminatory."
The gays want to make laws against everyone who does not agree with them, right up to refusing the right of free speech. That makes the laws discriminatory against anyone that challenges or simply disagrees with them. Saw an article where some gay woman was going on and on about her recent gay marriage AT WORK. After listening to it until he was fed up, the guy, in an apologetic tone, said that he thought it was wrong. Nothing more, nothing nearly as overt as what the gay woman had been doing. HE GOT FIRED FOR JUST THAT. And that is a perfect example of how this legislation would work, point blank harassment, bullying, discrimination, and free reign to victimize anyone else, with a simple say so that they didn't like what the other person said.
"specify groups would defeat the purpose of the amended equal protection clause, yes."
Then why do you think this new gay legislation is ok? It is exactly what you just said would defeat the purpose.
" Not sexual preference, sexual orientation."
Now you are going to try to use samantics? Don't you see how you are shooting yourself in the foot with stuff like this? Care to try to explain the difference between orientation and preference, or how you apply either term in your line of "thinking"?
"sexual orientation has already be included the decisive factor in a supreme court ruling, in regards to the Equal Protection Clause. So the interpretation is lawful, and not open to public opinion."
Please rephrase. Didn't understand what that was supposed to be saying. As far as that Texas sodomy suit LOL Guess they should have just left out the word "homosexual", then they could have found the person guilty.
"QUOTE:

I think in general, laws were built around the basic understanding of people as male or female and the basic premise of the MALE FEMALE relationship being the foundation from which we all come.

you imply as though homosexuality is some sort of new trend. In fact, homosexuality has existed and was acknowledge before our country was even declared, since at least greek-roman times. Why would you presume that laws didn't account for homosexual relationships? "

Just because something is a "trend" it does not make it acceptable, unless you think the rising stats on arson make burning down a house acceptable. Crime has existed since the beginning of time, and has never been acceptable either. That is why we have laws that say NO. Using your own words, you have just given reasons why the laws against gays SHOULD be upheld, which I believe is contrary to your agenda. There is no way you can dispute the real truth of "laws were built around the basic understanding of people as male or female and the basic premise of the MALE FEMALE relationship being the foundation from which we all come."
Simple biology being what it is, makes being gay abnormal.

Your hypocrisy in posting further in this thread, while trying to tell other people to start a new one, IS a VERY GOOD example of the mindset of the bullying gays. Making rules for everyone else, out of nothing but revenge of some kind, with nothing more than lies, hypocrisy, double standards.... I suppose when they stop doing that, and making themselves less respect worthy (same goes for their opinions etc), and just start acting like rational, fair adults, they might get more people to listen. Flipping out like drama queens, threatening anyone who doesn't bow down, and trying to bully an entire country is only going to have the natural consequences of the majority lashing BACK. Best get your head around the reality of what is offensive and what is defensive, or there will be a LOT of them being prosecuted. Arrogance and ignorance are a very dangerous combination.

I am with harmony, didn't see any discrimination against gays in those links.

fantasy "LOl maybe wrong sex is a good idea, if i were straight i would have kids and a wife in a heart beat.But...I'm gay.I know at the age of 19 I'm ready to find true love and find the ''one'' if he exists! But thank you everyone for posting! "
RFLMFAO yeah, right, all it takes is being straight and your whole world is wonderful, uh NOT! And 19??????!!!!!! I was married at 18, and a mom and working on my divorce by 19, so on the grounds of age alone, WTF????????
Also wonder why ANYONE feels a NEED to be married any more anyway. The whole thing has just been turned into a farce compared to what it was intended to be. Nothing more than a financial contract, and ANYONE can get the same from a half hour session with an attorney. Maybe the destruction of marriage overall is why I think it incredibly ridiculous that gays play like it has anything to do with anything but money, and don't just admit that they are in it for the financial aspects and to try to be a thorn in the side of Christians (since civil unions and that half hour with an attorney would give them the exact same benefits, without nearly as much expense or hassle).
I am quite straight LOL and even if I found "the one", wouldn't be rushing for any marriage license. More like a civil contract to protect me from common law marriage statutes that would TRAP me legally.

I believe that if you read through what you posted, you might realize why your employers wouldn't "give a crap".
"There are things i could be doing, its true,"

Stop right there and make sure you realize what you wrote.

"but in terms of doing what i am paid to do, i have done it all already.

But aside from all that. Who gives a crap?"

Absorb that one too.

" Most employees do not give a crap about their employees."

I am guessing you meant employers don't care about employees. And, with the attitude you admitted to above, it does make you easily replaced.

" Times get tough, staff get culled, and from what i have seen, in no real fair manner at all."

Perhaps the deadwood go first, regardless of rank.

" My employer would bend me over the desk and screw me right up the butt if they wanted to,"

Why are you so sure of this, if you are essential personnel?

" so im not going to reduce myself to a kiss arse and worry about whether my productivity levels could be higher or not."

That just sounded like a self defeating excuse for not doing better. Nope, I wouldn't exactly give someone who was doing the bare minimum as the kind of employee I would keep over another if there was any culling to be done. Also, disrespect garners same.
Sorry, but about all I have read in here are a bunch of excuses and attempts at justification that fall flat. And yes, I do believe that this is the attitude that has caused our country to become less competitive in the world market. Also where that lie about illegals doing jobs no American would because they are too pampered, lazy, and consider themselves above it.

For those of you who do it during the hours that you are being paid for, not lunch breaks, how do you live with yourselves knowing you are basically stealing from your employer? When I worked for the state I refused to be in the stupid birthday club, because it pretty much boiled down to sitting around eating cake on the tax payers dime, and that didn't sit with my conscience.

Might as well steal from them, with the tax rate the way it is my pay check isn't worth the time to bother anymore. I do just enough to get by because I don't get paid more to do more, if I did get paid more to do more I'd still cut even on payday because of taxes. Ultimately useless, waste of time, and pathetically pointless.

This message brought to you by; Elmo, if he can quit crack/meth/drinking/heroin/rufies...so can you.smokin

With this attitude, why would anyone think you were worth more? I don't know where you work or what you do, but not very difficult for supervisors to spot those only doing the least to still get the check. Those are the employees who are "disposable". When things are slow, they are the first to be laid off. When things are going well they are the last for the bonuses and other rewards. With my employees, I give as good as I get.
Your attitude is self defeating, and shared by far too many. Just one reason China is kicking out butt. Thanks a lot, to all like you. (yes, that was meant sarcastically for those of you who didn't catch it).

Just because the church has the belief, doesn't make it right for everyone. Just because it has been what they believe for hundreds of years really doesn't make it right, I would hope we have evolved into smarter humans that what was believed to be right hundreds of years ago.

Gays have as much right to live their lives with all full benefits of everyone else and if we have to go agaisnt the church to get it done so be it. I will fight for the right of gays to live with everything I as a heterosexual will have in life, it is only fair.

First you say just because the church has a belief, doesn't make it right for everyone. Same could be said about those who believe people are born gay (not all do).
Then you say that gays have as much right to live as they want, but in the same sentence imply that you would go to war with the church, just because it disagrees, and do your best to DENY THEM THEIR RIGHT TO LIVE AS THEY WANT. Anyone NOT see the hypocritical, bullying double standard there?
You even go so far as to say you will fight for the right of gays to live with everything you have, when there isn't any right that you have that they don't. NO ONE, not even straight people can legally marry a person of the same sex, so it is the SAME standard for everyone. What gays have a problem with is that they are still considered defective by many, and they take issue to THAT. This whole attack on the church is about MONEY not rights of any kind. The hate law legislation is only going to be a way for gays to extort, intimidate and harass straight people, same as minorities have done playing the race card where it had no place.
"Not true"
I see this a lot. Simple denial, whether you have a leg to stand on or not. Still waiting to see when you are coming by to meet my neighbor as I can prove what I am saying. You can't. You post your opinion as though it were fact, when it has already been disproven.

msharmony "Bring on the fight to ensure adults in any relationship can choose their insurance beneficiary or have their loved ones visit them in hospitals, or carry health insurance....these are absolutely causes I feel need to be addressed."
Gays already have ALL OF THESE THINGS if they bothered to check.
"If my mother moved in with her sister to save money and wanted to put her sister on her health insurance, she should be able to."
Why, and what does that have to do with gay legislation? Are you giving an example of how these laws would be manipulated/used for the wrong means by people only claiming to be gay?

interesting post but you fail to mention the amount of exploitation of illegals (even back to slavery) of foregin workers. The country was built on the exploitation of foreign...illegal workers...at low wages or actually no wages.

Those nice strawberries you find at the local markets for 99 cents are from illegals.....

you could demand american workers..but it wont be 99 cents anymore.

the capitalistic system....earn profits by lowering labor rates...yeap..thats what companies do...

the illegals are here because companies demanded them here...the same companies that run wall street...that contribute to political parties..that control congressional leaders...

Which is why I report the employers and employees.

hey!- ease up dude
Why do someone have to be a liberal if not in agreement with committing vigilante felonies to deport illegals back to Mexico/ Remember you are a immigrate as well.

Strawman. The argument is about crossing the border illegally and related consequences, not immigration.

How about those who didn't immigrate? Are we allowed to give them the boot, since that seems to be your defense for them. And you might want to remember, self defense is not a crime, and is what they call an affirmative defense against any charges.

I don't know if any of you still remember what America suppose to be really like. We're modifying our allegiance in school, taking out the words that was put there over 2 century ago, end up wanting security by giving up our freedom...and the people fear the government when the government suppose to fear the people. I don't know if some of you may still think that this country exist...but in reality...it no longer does. Only those who still carry it within their hearts and mind, thats where America still exist. Whenever I take down our National Flag from the poles, I never allow it to touch the ground but state flags I could careless. This country suppose to be indivisible but in reality, its dividing itself. Other states has started to make their own currencies and everything else. I was watching the news a couple of months ago, the interviewer asked this retired Army Major who is a Counter Terrorist Specialist if we should give up our freedom for our security, and his answer was "YES". Knowing that Andrew Jackson or Thomas Jefferson, I can't really remember who, stated that we should never give up our freedom for security, otherwise we don't deserve neither of it. Its really a shame...

By now, I think we need to bring back the rebel flag, as it represents the sentiments of the majority, and as long as that prez hussein is in office, our national flag is disgraced more and more every day. As long as the feds are going to act like Nazi Germany, the states should utilize their right to tell the feds to back off.

I dont see it as them taking away from people. They have the right to not support those things they dont agree with, if it is their own money. Seems the noble thing to do to not take the contract if they cant or chose not to abide by its requirements.

Seems one of the most rational, fair posts in the forum. Gays just don't like it when anyone tried to contradict them in any way. This is just proof that there isn't anything they won't try to bully, and in this case attempt to defame. Playing like the Catholic church hasn't had the same core beliefs for hundreds of years, and any of this is an attack on gays is laughable, as it is THE OTHER WAY AROUND. Gays just want to force themselves on us, same as the immigrants. It is on THEM to accept the fact that they are as accepted as prostitutes. Here and there you will find someone that isn't repulsed by them as individuals, but most are disgusted. They can't change that no matter how much they lie. It would be a heck of a lot more hypocritical for the church to just roll over and accept what has always been "wrong" in their eyes, than to cave into this defamatory extortion attempt. If gays want to be left alone to live their lives the way they want, they should let everyone else do the same. The fact that they don't, and even want to bring this stuff into the schools and force it on the kids, is what makes THEM the hypocrites and bullies.

Like International Law requires, we are to be in line with our neighbors in regard to Immigration. Our so-called leaders believe they are above the law.

the US is not compelled to comply with international law. no soveriegn country is. within US jurisdiction the constitution rules other than regards foreign treaty. and treaties can simply be abolshed.

LOL I was referring to obama NOT COMPLYING WITH US LAW.

I just WISH we could enforce the immigration laws of each country against those from it that come here illegally.

it was not your post that i replied to. but as you jumped in, how would it be correct for us to enforce the immigration laws of other countries while it is wrong for our president not to enforce the laws of our own country? not following your logic here. i agree that the president has the duty to enforce our laws. other than his duties as cic that's about the entire job we elected him to do. so now we should violate the rights of a foreign sovereign nation by enforcing their laws because we think our president is not doing his duty? would such not be an act of war?

Ok, I will reword. If a mexican comes here illegally, we should use the same rules to deal with him that mexico would someone illegally entering their country. If a canadian illegally enters, same punishments he would get from Canada, and so on. Our country pretty much has nothing to deter people from illegally entering, but other countries have much stricter enforcement and harsher punishments. I am all for whatever puts an end to it.

Well I wish people would post facts supporting their claims of garbage. Just blindly saying this is bunk is just as bad as posting fiction. Let's see you're facts, what isn't true?

I second that, since I have seen them do every single thing on this list.

Prove that, because I know it is not true.

I think that in order for you to accept it as proof, you would have to come and see it for yourself. When shall I expect you?

Even if I came there, how can you prove to me they are recieving foodstamps?

People don't have a certain look when they get foodstamps.slaphead

Walk next door and ask her to show you her EBT card and tell you what it is for. They don't even make a secret of it. Would THAT be enough for ya'? Why is it I am thinking it probably wouldn't? LOL

Isn't it getting difficult to come on here day after day after day...defending Barry and his leftist agenda

may not be difficult but it is rediculous huh? sounds not unlike the conservative rantings defending dubya and his right wing agenda for eight years. seems all you folks should just save these posts. sooner or later a guy comes around that we approve of. save alot of typing. imagine if we still had the liberal bashing threads we gave clinton. a name change here, an alegation change there. hell we had two bush's. wouldn't even have to change all that many names would we? sure would spend less time on the forums ya think?

True. Never had much nice to say about bush, ok, I never had anything nice to say about bush. But, I was completely amazed that they found someone even worse, and then put him in office. (I sincerely do not believe he won the election, just took a page from George's book and rigged the vote. Never believe the prior election results were legit either. That chad mess, spare me.)

I was just wondering, why is it sooo hard to find true loyal love in the gay world? Many say it's the same in the heterosexual world, but it seems worse in the gay world.I wonder why...

I think that gay people just think they have it worse with dating, same as they think they have it worse with everything else. When they realize just how much society treats them with kid gloves, and has for a long time, maybe they will stop feeling this way.

hmm.. I'm not sure if this generalization is warranted.

Also, there are social injustices, in the form interpreted legislation, that exist against homosexuality. 'Societies' treatment of homosexuals (apparently you are excluding homosexuals from being a part of society) is easily interpreted as handling.

A 'class' of society's liberties are being denied unjustly and they are being handled, and you trivialize their criticism as a victim complex?

Care to give example, since I have no clue what you are referring to?

And barry has been proving since day one, the only thing he fears is us finding out the truth about him. NO OTHER REASON to spend so much time, energy and money trying to HIDE IT.
If I were him, I would be living in fear, a hell of a lot of it, as daily the hatered toward him increases.

come sit next to me and see if you can hang... I doub't it..."

RFLMFAO, if you only knew! They had to hire 3 to do what I did when I resigned from the last position I had working for someone else. Naw, don't think it would be anything but a walk in the park.

have a nice weekend...!

I plan on it. A friend is having a birthday tomorrow.

P.S. happy workers are more productive than un-happy workers... chain them to the desk, or let them do a little recreational browsing... which worker has more potential?... I argue the latter...

 drinker

This is true. Which is why the GOOD workers leave places that let the deadwood who under perform dump their duties on those who do perform. I certainly resented them getting the paychecks for the work I did. Didn't make the real workers very happy, and which would you rather retain?

And no, not saying EVERYONE has the same working conditions, or that their employers have the same structure or requirements. But, you have to admit that there are a lot of people SNEAKING in their personal online time, so they basically know they are stealing. Those are the ones I questioned regarding work ethics and lack of conscience.

Fri 11/20/09 09:51 AM

Well, someone has struck a nerve! laugh A lot of questions come to mind: If you were an employer, should you reasonably expect an employee's energies and efforts to go 100% into your mission, objectives and goals? If you're an employee, how do you justify doing something completely personal - playing let's say an hour a day- rather than working when you're getting paid to do a job? What do these diverging views say about loyalty, a job versus a career, trust, ethics? If you are capable of multi-tasking...should you be multi-tasking about your job rather than personal pursuits? If you were the employer rather than employee, and your company was one of your passions, would you feel differently?

Interesting...
I think it depends on the job and the people involved-

If the bosses are happy and the employees productive-who cares if the employees are online for personal reasons at times during the workday?

True, but these days, with all the cut backs, more often than not the company is STRUGGLING to stay afloat. Not a good time for any lazy people to be slacking off. I think that this attitude is directly tied to why we are being bested by China. They still have better work ethics. And no, not even going into what have been termed "labor abuses". Even when they immigrate here, those I have known still actually understand that you WORK at work.
