Hey there guys!
Again just here to educate and inform to the best of my abilities not to belittle or berrate. But I heard the term anxiety and it came down to what I feared.. the term being thrown around almost as an analogy to worry. Allow me to explain anxiety is a clinical term like depression. See you're allowed to be sad .. let's say your dog died you're upset, you're not in depression or to rephrase you don't have major depressive disorder. You need to fall into a certain criteria of symptoms for a certain duration of time with a certain threshold for each individual factor .. then only do we label stuff in terms of disorders.. in this instance Generalized Anxiety Disorder. So while logic dictates not thinking about it or growing out of it or people making a big fuss over nothing sounds okay .. it's really not. Think of it this way they're not worried for xyz cause they are worried because they are sick. And again I need to stress not every form of anxiety needs to be treated with medication.. sometimes therapy is the only backbone we rely on. But to call it a big pharma conspiracy would be crippling an already disabled understanding of mental illness in our society. Thankyou for understanding. |

Menopause & HRT (Hormones)

Hey guys !
I don't wanna be a jerk and I need you guys to know I appreciate the flow of information and society as a whole coming together to support each other, through thick and thin as they say... Super proud of everyone who wishes other people well. I just want to highlight a couple of key factors that often get overlooked Menopause is a natural phase women have to go through (sometimes it's premature and sometimes surgically induced like in Oophorectomy cases) but HRT isn't for everyone. You need to have a significant level of issues causing you disarray to warrant HRT even then it comes down to need .. it can be as simple as a gel applied to get rid of vaginal dryness or be completely systemic. Candidates who has the Uterus removed can recieve just Estrogen because there's no risk of uterine changes with unopposed estrogen (you see estrogen can cause even carcinogenic changes to the endometrium if not balanced by progesterone) but the candidates with a uteru will have to get combined HRT with progesterone. I'm not trying to explain how HRT works.. what I'm trying is to tell you guys that it's not one symptom that tells you to get HRT. It's not one HRT for all... Things like medicine are highly subjective to the individual. And again cudos to everyone joining together in a problem unnoticed by the rest .. wish you all comfort and peace.
