The Sinner
Well I like what I see But I don’t think I like what I do Through all the red lights My conscience is now seeping through All sitting in there windows All wearing a welcoming smile Should I move on? Or perhaps wait for a while. But I only want to be a sinner for one day But I only want to be a sinner for one day The atmospheres liquid And I’m swimming in a pool of desire As the chase is now on I start taking the role of a buyer Music is playing As the peepshows are opening for trade On the left is a small man Who’s just made a deal to get laid? But I only want to be a sinner for one day But I only want to be a sinner for one day The memories exchanging For my wife and my child back at home And how a business trip Can easily make you alone As I look to the ground I walk from the scent in the street With the sobering thought My life was not meant for deceit. And I’ll never make a sinner for one day And I’ll never make a sinner for one day |

Old Song in New Orleans
One old song And it still rhymes Rhyme your words on me Old song plays It still playing Play your notes on me The pianos smoking On the nightclub stage Bass releasing Notes from its cage Old song blue You’re still smiling Smile your blues on me Fingertips Upon the tables Plays a beat for me Some sit around This old piano While I hit the same old key Scented smiles Hang in the air Reminiscing As they stare Old song blue It still rhymes Rhyme your words on me Old musician Just like me Orleans is my home Every night They come to listen As I play here at my throne Perhaps one day You’ll visit me And I will play That same piano key Old song blue You’re still smiling Smile your blues on me. |

The woman‘s touch
I think it is the time now For me to take a bride I guess I have the yearning With the love I have inside. And if I find the right one I’ll know straight away And I will start the courting And we’ll prepare for that big day. Well the world is spinning quickly And I am moving slow Life is always changing Many things I do not know I guess I’ll lead my own life I think I know that much Simple pleasures all I need Such as a woman’s touch. I don’t know how I’ll meet her I don’t really go to clubs My social life is minimal But I like my local pub. I have my friends around me And like to have a drink But when I’m walking home alone Then I begin to think. Well the world is spinning quickly And I am moving slow Life is always changing So many things I do not know I guess I’ll lead my own life I think I know that much The simple pleasures all I need Such as a woman’s touch. My friends suggested Internet But I don’t know what it is Forgive me for my ignorance But a net you use to fish. A mermaid isn’t practical For a person such as me I think I’ll have one from dry land And leave the other in the sea. Well the world is spinning quickly And I am moving slow Life is always changing So many things I do not know I guess I’ll lead my own life I think I know that much The simple pleasures all I need Such as a woman’s touch. I don’t really go to parties Cos I’m not the party kind Working all day on the fields Tends to occupy the mind And when I’ve finished milking And gone to check the sheep I go inside — take of my boots Then I fall asleep Well the world is spinning quickly And I am moving slow Life is always changing So many things I do not know I guess I’ll lead my own life I think I know that much The simple pleasures all I need Such as a woman’s touch. My mates suggested a holiday But I’m not sure were to go They said try find some sun and sand But I would much prefer the cold One said go to Sweden Land of sexual liberty I know my friends all mean well But it’s not the place for me Well the world is spinning quickly And I am moving slow Life is always changing So many things I do not know I guess I’ll lead my own life I think I know that much The simple pleasures all I need Such as a woman’s touch. So for now I’ll just resign myself To working on the farm And just enjoy my pint and chat Without the lass linked in my arm But I do know if I find her I’ll know straight away And I will start the courting And we’ll prepare for that big day. Well the world is spinning quickly And I am moving slow Life is always changing So many things I do not know I guess I’ll lead my own life I think I know that much The simple pleasures all I need Such as a woman’s touch. |

Passion of thirst
You are my refreshment My glass of water Allow me to sip you but never drink you Control my thirst but never quench it Never out of reach Finger tips just brushing your glass From ice my warmth will melt you My passion shall make you rise like steam Every bubble of oxygen that floats to the surface Without impurity Tasting the nectar you offer unconditionally To sip from your cup Rivulets of moisture upon my lips Be my refreshment And I will forever keep you full. |

I’ve got a story
I’ve got a story But it’s never been clear I’ll tell you my story If you buy me a beer But the paper is gone And I don’t think - I can remember it all I’ve been around And I’ve rung me a bell I’ve finished my beer Now I’m visiting hell And I’m not sure If I remember the words that I wanted to say Pour me reason As I sleep on the bar Read my fortune And I’ll sell you my car Buy me strings For my broken guitar And I guess it’s over The star has now gone So I’ll disappear I’ll sing you a song If you turn off the lights The children are sleeping And I’ve missed my last flight My pockets are full With broken notes for an alibi Love is a danger But so are the rocks I’ll have a whisky an ice And reset the clocks The cigarette is out All I have - is the smoke in my eyes? Pour me reason As I sleep on the bar Read my fortune And I’ll sell you my car Buy me strings For my broken guitar And I guess it’s over The star has now gone So I’ll disappear I have this riddle Or so I’ve been told Give me a password Help crack this code The fuse is lit Nobody’s home - they’re all on holiday Worn these shoes And they’re causing me pain I would have carried on walking But it started to rain So I need a drink To help me forget - the direction I’m in Lost my story Because I left it out side I got my reasons And they can’t be denied Pour me another Because it’s here I’ll reside And I guess it’s over The star has now gone So I’ll disappear |

A Voyage of Discovery
Close your eyes And hear my song And see what you can see Capture stars Or paint the skies Or sail the seven seas You play your best Because you never rest And you should be who you should be. We chart our course and then we sail Learn to achieve and accept when we fail Believe in ourselves and others as well Our secrets to keep and our dreams to tell The time we have is the time we hold Past – present – future and end And destinies child is a common man We are brothers and sisters until the end. A road is long When you stand still And can be short when you move on Whatever road You decide to take Will depend where you’re coming from Travel to your Destination Then travel to beyond We chart our course and then we sail Learn to achieve and accept when we fail Believe in ourselves and others as well Our secrets to keep and our dreams to tell The time we have is the time we hold Past – present – future and end And destinies child is a common man We are brothers and sisters until the end. Doors will open and doors will close For some you’ll need the key Just turn the lock And look inside Just believe and then receive The keys to Opportunity Is what everybody needs? We chart our course and then we sail Learn to achieve and accept when we fail Believe in ourselves and others as well Our secrets to keep and our dreams to tell The time we have is the time we hold Past – present – future and end And destinies child is a common man We are brothers and sisters until the end. So tell me now What do you know? And have you found the key Speak to me Of many wonders From beginning to eternity A voyage of Discovery Is what every one should be? |

Have you ever thought about morticians? Have you ever considered that regardless of their somewhat specialized grizzly occupation that they also have an entitlement to be loved for who they are?
Well they have my support, and this poem from the heart is dedicated “excuse the puns” to them & the services they provide (losely speaking)to the community. Poem from the heart I left my heart in San Francisco I left my knives in Timbuktu The teeth I sent off to forensics But I only have eyes for you!!! |

You know what its like
The sky is falling - and the ground is rising While the wind is acting the clown And the rain - is making a new type of speech For the people that are standing around Who’s that - knocking on the window there? Will she let her lover in? The neighbors - are back from there holidays But they won’t say where they’ve been. You know what its like If you want it to be Take it if you want it If you think it will be. The apples eaten gravity And Newton has contested the law The lover is - playing a melody Now she’s walking to the door Little creaser has one last drink Before the palace is closed. The dog is howling to the sound of the phone As the dreamers dream of gold. You know what its like If you want it to be Take it if you want it If you think it will be. The last seats taken so I will have to stand With the new shoes I bought today The lover’s here standing next to me Rehearsing lines for another play Little creaser’s got on to the train With Newton who’s just won the law And weather’s left but apologized While the neighbors say there poor You know what its like If you want it to be Take it if you want it If you think it will be. |

Diary of a madman
It might amaze you To hear what I say The room I’m in is changing color A little day by day The blues are shifting and changing With yellow to make green It really is enlightening It could all just be a dream Please forgive me this is just a release I can give what I can take Systematic emotion retraction Before it is too late Please don’t mind me My dreams are getting old I’ll have to place them out again For rain to make them grow Then I can feed And mature them And lock them away Just like these changing colors To prevent them going grey. Please don’t ignore me I think I have control I’ve been released from insanity But I’m still on parole What can I do? What can I say? It all sounds so grand Just like these ever changing colors As a boy into a man Yes I am getting better Perhaps they will let me outside To see my reflection in the lake To feel breeze upon my side But for the moment I’ll rest here And enjoy insanity And savor my room of changing colors So I won’t have to see me. |

No money in my pockets
Got no money in my pockets but got a heart full of charms I've got the sun on my shoulder And have my girl in my arms I have a feeling that it’s going to be ok Cos the sun is on my shoulder And it’s going to be a good day No money I my pockets Got my girl in my arms. Going to take my baby dancing And jive her in my blue suede shoes I got the moon on my shoulder My loving she can’t refuse I got a feeling that it’s going to be all right I got the moon on my shoulder And it’s going to be a goodnight No money in my pockets Got my girl in my arms An when the dancing’s finished Well go out driving in the car We have adventure on our shoulders And we’ll drive off to the stars I got a feeling that it’s going to be ok Just romancing the moon Until we see the break of day No money in my pockets Got my girl in my arms |

Dusk Till Dawn
Narrative. Have you wondered what it would be like to escape the routines of life? Have you ever explored your imagination? Have you ever walked the bridge, which lays between reality and dreamscape in your sleep? Do you ever close your eyes and open up new horizons or create new civilizations to rule or to destroy. Are you really who you what to be? Or not what you want to be? Perhaps one day you’ll find out? (Sweet sleep) High above the mountain range My senses reeling I feel strange The clouds are floating under me Around me only xtc The sun spreads colors cross the sky I see my kingdom with naked eye And I don’t want to wake up To break this magic dream The real world I’m a nobody But here I am redeemed In this world I am special And I live for eternity (A knight’s dream) A king I am again tonight And wish a dragon to fight Just lead me to its lair So I can rescue maiden fair Standing in my amour fit for a knight so bold As I claim scaly victim and reap my pot of gold So many pots of gold that I have found I can now have 12 chairs And a large table that is round And now I command my knights And bestow them regal rights We seek adventure and tread paths - for us that are unknown Wait while I collect my sword - my birthright in the stone The lady in the lake a waits - to wave us all good by My wife is sitting in the tower - to avoid the farewell cry Now we have to mount our steeds - and take the hidden trail To help the minstrels write their songs - about the Holy Grail And if we never find it - we will not be held to blame Legends just forgets the faults - and just retains the fame Our lives a heroes dream Legends told of what we have seen Take it or leave it Believe in what you want to believe Were not the writers? So we never tried to deceive (The Lament) My Guinevere My flower and my bride How love can easily change Like the tide And by the table now Lancelot’s empty chair He once gave friendship You gave him an affair. O how I long to feel your magic touch For all my endeavors I feel I deserve that much But all that I see now is a boat that is sailing away And the prophecies of Merlin are now coming into play Coming into play Coming into play 12 great battles we have to fight It is written in the stars - in the stars at night For every victory that we hold Will be another story told The Saxon will hit the cul-de-sac For them there is no turning back And Merlin though he ran away Will eventually return to us one day I think we’ll travel north now - try finding a crusade And if it does not work out - I think I’ll just get laid My destiny is set out - and my bullets in the gun And I will follow the path of legends - and have a love child son And soon the caves await me - await me as we move on Turn left at the mountains - then a right for Avalon. You can even take me - take me to my place of rest Then I’ll have to leave you and let history do the rest. (The Awakening) Now my slumber begins to end And there are no more kingdoms to defend My eyes now open to the morning sound Bed a throne and pillow a crown. Tomorrow night I’ll be something else From a Hobbit to Odin’s eye (A bad day at the Office) Yes I know it beats an office Holding papers and a pen Making profits for the bosses When theirs kingdoms to defend Outside people catching busses All held captive by the beast After 8 hours there given freedom And celebrate with a TV feast All just trapped inside a big clock A clock that ticks but has no time History books will never record them But in my world the magic is mine Here I am your master and your king And here I now sit, sit upon my throne Here I am your master and your king And the real world leaves me alone. |
