As I sit here in my chair.
All I can do is stare.
Wondering can this love bare.

Ole this here heart of mine.
With nothing but time.
To sit here and rhyme.

Seems more each and every day.
That love will not come my way.
I know that all will say.

Ohhh you must keep your dreams.
Is love just one big scheme.
It makes me just want to scream.

I would be better talking to a whale.
Instead of what we call a male.
That seems to always cut a trail.

It is just like old news.
Maybe it's just the ones I chose.
Would be better off taking a cruise.

Would not leave my heart in a heap.
Or make me feel so cheap.
Then I would not be left to weep.

Why can't others just be real.
I can't see what is the big deal.
Just to hurt and leave them to heal.

They think life is just a stage.
And love is just part of the page.
But it leaves us all in a rage.

They think life is just game.
And everyone is just the same.
Hearts are broken and who is to blame.

How many times is a heart to break.
As I sit here my heart aches.
Knowing one more time its a mistake.

When will we ever learn.
Not to let ourselves get burned.
Yet I still sit here and yearn.

It seems as some do it with ease.
Just tell me would you please.
Why some just love to tease.

With this heart I will say.
That some how someday.
I too will have a love to stay.

It might start out very slow.
But love will soon start to grow.
Then I will be able to know.

That love is here today.
It is not going away.
How sweet it will be that day.
