My child had migraines when young. We saw a pediatric neurologist. They can figure out if they are migraines or even allergies.

They told us to quit Tylenol if we were giving it too often because it can cause rebound headaches if the body gets used to it. They were right.

Btw, if the child is young and I mean under 12 years old, they don't get aspirins. They get Children's Tylenol or Children's Motrin.

If you have to drive a distance with the child (even 20 minutes), they can get headaches as a form of carsickness.

he gives her tylonal for everything so i avoid it if i can. and shes 6. she told him loud noises hurt her head. and she had several allergic reactions, but not allergies. they stared at 10 months, apples, oranges, chocolate, grapes, tomatoes, anything calcium fortified. she can eat some of these things now in certain forms. tomatoes fresh not canned, chocolate white, not dark or milk. things like that.

That's when the migraines hit my child - 6 yrs. old. We found that my Great-Aunts had them and they skipped a generation.

Have you tried Children's Motrin for a change of pace. I know that they shouldn't have aspirin because of Reye Syndrome.

The neurologist kept asking about car sickness. Said that if a child get car sick, studies showed that they had more risk of migraines. The Dr. gave us different medicine for the headaches so we wouldn't take the Tylenol for awhile. We can take Tylenol again, btw. Just needed to give the brain a break from it.

My kid hates loud noises. Wants the radio off in the car.

That's alot of allergies. Poor baby.

Yes, the Dr. would be good. It's sad to see them suffer with a headache at such a young age.

Let me know what the Dr. says - even email, okay?

If the Dr. says to cut back on the Tylenol, get a note stating that to show the ex.

Oh, one thing - but I don't want you to be too concerned. My child's peditrician was okay with the Tylenol- the pediatric neurologist was not. Each Dr. can be different. Maybe ask the Dr. about the rebound affect when using too much Tylenol. Maybe he can explain it better or do a search on it. Just ideas.

Good luck.flowerforyou

No chocolate for a 4 y/o.
