I know alot of people that have endometriosis and also polycystic ovary- it used to be stein-leventhal syndrome- it is when the ovary is encased in a waxy like case- it is unable to release the egg- it causes fertility problems- My Mom had it- she did eventually conceive but he was a stillborn it caused the placenta to separate from the uterine wall when she was about 6 months along.

I don't know alot about endometriosis other than it is really painful and it too causes fertility problems- im sure there are alot of women here who know more than i do.flowerforyou

Polycystic ovary syndrome is when the hormones are messed up in the body and you have too much testosterone among other things. It causes you to not have periods or very erratic periods, infertility is very common, woman can have male pattern baldness from this or hair growth on their face. Obesity is caused by this too.

Endometriosis is when some of the uterine lining goes outside the uterus through the fallopian tubes and it multiplies and spreads throughout the abdomen and attaches to the organs. It causes problems when the woman has her normal cycle as this "tissue" outside the uterus will also "bleed or shed" like it does inside the uterus too and causes severe pain.

That is a brief rundown of the two syndromes.

Had endometriosis and ended up having an ectopic pregnancy. If birth control pills don't work--(only in early stage), get it cauterized. It can give you back your life! Best of Luck. flowerforyou

ive had about 6 surgerys, and the more times they go in the more damage they are doing, ive got so much scar tissue and adhesions now, because they have operated so many times, and the worst of it, all the operations failed, so now im worse off because ive got endometriosis, a lot of scar tissue and adhesions. if i hadnt of had all that surgery i wouldnt have so much scar tissue, so my advice is, only have it done if its really necessary. some of the surgery i had no choice about because they found a huge mass, i had cancer tests etc, a week later they operated and i had a large choclate cyst. looking back i wish i hadnt have had all of those ops, because they have caused more problems and my pain is worse than ever now, due to the scar tissue nd adhesions and endo. plus mine has spread to my bowells and twisted then. for me theres no more they can do. this isnt the case with everyone. flowerforyou flowerforyou

I am very sorry Debbie. I would say I feel your pain, but that is only to a certain extent. I think I may end up having a hysterectomy. Just too many problems.
