As of May 29, 2008, charges have been dropped for five marines of the eight marines originally charged. http://www.iht.com/articles/ap/2008/05/29/america/Marines-Haditha.php |

That article is a direct connection to the network military analyst taking their instruction straight from Rummy and the Pentagon.
The second link is reports the AP received under the freedom of information act from the Pentagon records. They are instructions on what to report and the tone of those reports for use by the military analyst on network TV. Propaganda spread through your Nightly news by the Pentagon and network analyst in collaboration. |

Instead of reporting the news they reported what the Pentagon and Rumsfeld told them to say!

"It's what we believe in, or we wouldn't be saying it. We'd love to be following our leader, as in fact you are. You are our leader. You are our guy."—Unidentified military analyst in an April 2006 conference call to then-Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld.

"What can we say to the American public to say ... there are some things you can see that will make you feel better about what our military is doing and any progress we have made?"—Question posed by an unidentified military analyst to then-Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Gen. Peter Pace in an April 2006 conference call.

"If you allow the Chris Matthews or the Wolf Blitzers of the world to immediately start dissecting the standup of that government and say this guy is bad, (Iraqi politician Ahmed) Chalabi's a crook ... and you don't respond immediately, we are going to lose that capability to say what we did was honorable and good and right."—Unidentified military analyst in April 2006 call, advising Rumsfeld to be more aggressive in responding to critical questions by the media.

get it bro?? ![]() Fanta, If it was a propaganda site, I wasn't aware of it. But I'm wondering, how many marines actually WERE exonerated? The only reason I even care about this is that there is often confusion in the heat of battle and, sometimes, innocent people get accused of things they didn't do. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() What I was talking about was in reference to what Fanta mentioned concerning the Marines in the 2005 killings of Iraqis in Haditha. According to the site I went to, charges were dropped against five of those eight Marines originally charged. The point I was trying to make is that sometimes we don't know what really happened in those situations at first glance. People in the military, such as those Marines, are innocent until proven guilty. |
