I just want to thank all of you whom have sent condolences. My daughter and I will be flying out to Israel after the 30 days is over.
Hopefully I get pregnant this month so I can pay for it, but I think my Rabbi will assist us with a loan. It was sudden. 3 days prior to his passing, he had woken up and told my ex-husband to "go get a haircut, he looked like a bum" and fell back into his semi-coma. So he did get a haircut, because even though he never listened to his wife, he ALWAYS obeyed his father. He went down 3 days later to the hospital barber shop and was getting his haircut when one of his brothers called him on his phone and said, "Get upstairs quick." He never finished his haircut. His father passed away, in his sleep, in the hospital. I know this sounds weird, but upon learning of his death, (my ex called me from Israel) other than saying "I am so sorry" the only other thing on my mind was, did he pass in his sleep? I don't know why it was such a huge concern for me. Maybe because I believe if I was to die, I want it to be in my sleep. I am at peace in my sleep. I am reliving happy moments in my dreams when I sleep. I guess that is why I desired so badly to know if he had died in his sleep, because to me, that would mean he was dreaming of happier times. If any of you have an opinion, please share. I guess my question would be, if you had a choice on how you died, what would it be and why? If I can't pass in my sleep, I want my death to be quick and painless, if possible. Still healing, Myriah |

Oh I am so very sorry for your loss.
We never know when our time will be...and the doctors certainly don't always know. Yes, passing on in our sleep seems like the way...more peaceful somehow. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family now and as you travel. Hugs to you...  |
