women who do not work hurt themselves in the end. women out there, you have to maintain your independence from your man and work or else one day he is going to walk out with someone who does, that is, if he is not already doing that. i see too many women suffer for it.

how about people like my who cant work?? due to medical conditions ??

its different then dear. thats beside the point i am making for the women who CAN work but not encouraged to do so by their partners and 25 years down the line he says, get out, the working is lady is moving in. :)

I was a stay at home mom for almost 25 years. He died of leukemia. He worked off and on. For the most part I was the stability. I worked, very hard, 5 children, 2 of which I was gifted as my own. Twins and all hard workers, contributing , 2 marines. Now that he is gone, I am back in this new work force. I still work hard. "Hurt" is a relative term. What does it really mean? Do you weigh it out with all the factors? As a homebody, you can neglect that which..in eternal values can be overlooked. Today is what really matters. How are you living today, rightly, integral? Do those in your heart's reach see the truth in your life?

i understand that but it will be there choice in the end. there are also men who support their wives for years and give tehm everything they need then one day she up and leaves him anyway. Instead of going into a marriage trying to prep for the day it ends? then the hole thing is doomed regardless. I do understand your point though It just seemed like you were demeaning women who don't work

Maureen (just my opinion) a woman doesnt need to be encouraged nor told to stay home/go to work/etc. We women have this rare ability to think for ourselves. Every situation is different such as every individual is just that an individual.

That decision is to be made on an individual basis.

But I get the jist of your post.
