I'm sick of dead beat dads giving the good dads a bad name. Today at my sons birthday, that my ex had at her friends I got into an arguement with these girls about being a bad father. I got slapped and told that I should leave......and then my ex jumped in and told these ladies off. I found out they are pissed at this one girls ex because he is a dead beat. She over heard a conversation about a guy and assumed it was me because my ex was talking about this guy. Ya I do everything I possibly can for "the great stink", and my ex she knows that she can call me anytime of the day or night if they have any problem. I get him everyweekend and pretty we do petty much everything you could do with a 4 year old than u can do. now does that sound like a dead beat dad to u..

Thats great that you are there for your son. I wish my son's father was around for him, even when I was with his father he would ***** about doing something for him no matter how little it was, and my son's only 2yrs old.

even when I was in the army I would still send almost all of my money home to my ex when she was prego with him. the funny thing is we wernt together...... that was the first time she moved out. 2 months after she was prego.

Count your blessings Thanks it has been such a miserable two years just fighting to get the custodial rights . she has been charged fines so many times defying court orders and because she has money she just pays the fines and then ground hog day. but yes fathers day gives me a chance to reflect. Boys twin 7 year olds think differently though and they know . Believe me they know without me saying . Unfortunately I feel sorry for them that they feel awkward because of the split loyalties. And I unbderstand that and respect it. Happy Fathers Day

I can't believe you got slapped! That's just wrong, thank goodness for your ex. Looks like she appreciates you. People are always going to attack lifestyles. As long as your son knows you love him, and that you'd give him the world, that's all that matters. There is something wrong with those bitter gals if they can't see a good dad in front of them.
