“Life’s Cycle”


From the time we come into this world.
Right from the day we were born.
Our lives at time seem to be laid out.
Our hearts were meant to be torn.

Even from the time we are young.
We giggle as we receive our first kiss.
Not realizing what is to come.
Till the day we find out what we miss.

We enjoyed life just being a kid.
We were carefree no worries to be seen.
We had no clue of what laid ahead.
Then around the time we turned fifteen.

It seemed our lives begin to change.
Things seem to change with each turn.
Before long we had our first date.
And we found out what it was like to get burn.

Of course we thought it was love.
We saw stars in our eyes.
You would think we had just won.
But soon to find out we were not so wise.

We thought we had the world within our hand.
And there was nothing that we could not do.
We were tough and could handle it all.
In reality we had not a clue.

Even as we grew older and wiser we thought.
We could still have life within our hand.
But we found out were there are ups.
There would be downs that we had not planned.

Regardless we still go forward.
Hoping and searching for the one.
Thinking some day we will find.
That special one and love will be won.
