while i was pumping gas one day,a bedraggled homeless man approached me and asked if i could spare some change so that he might get himself a cup of coffee, reaching into my pocket i fished around for all the change i had just received from the store clerk and handed it to him and thats the last i thought i would see of him and had basically forgotten about that day
it wasn't until while shopping at the mall one day i was approached by a well groomed man with a wife and child in tow that i would be reminded of that very day.i never knew what had transpired after i had given that homeless man some change and now this man standing before me started to fill in the missing pieces you see he was that homeless man and it seems that when he went into the store to purchase his coffee he bumped into an old acquaintance that he had known back in school and was telling him of all the bad luck than he had fallen on. his friend told him of a job opening if he would be willing to "clean" himself up that he could give him.well after working the job for awhile he grew rather fond of a co-worker as she did him and one thing led to another and now they were married and the proud parents of their little boy who was enjoying a day at the mall. he shook my hand and thanked me over and over for giving him the change from my pocket and told me that if i hadnt given it to him he would have just kept walking by the store where he purchased the coffee and met his new boss and now his life had turned around completely and that he and his new family were enjoying their first new home together ...i guess sometimes you never know how such a small gesture of kindness can have such a domino effect on someone's life..brother can you spare a dime... writings from the tombs..... ![]() |

Lives can be changed with crumbs!! Just as Jesus changed so meany lives with a couple loves of bread and some fish!!
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I look at the five thousand before me Hungry for more than bread and fish. But hardheaded me, I persist To break bread And give fish And wait And hope That that would be enough. I could not bake bigger loaves And catch bigger fish To feed And fill. But here I am With my bread And my fish And my Hope. Still. Days and weeks and months And years later, I am amazed To see bushel baskets Filled to brimming. |
