Can you imagine what it must be like for our young men who even meet girls in night clubs who drive and have false ID's and still go to prison. Fair Huh. and frankly if i was on the jury and it is proven she used false identification and was drinking then i would say not guilty

and that is not just in the bar drinking is age restricted to 21 and breaking that law leading to the other (as long as the alcohol was not provided by the accused) causes the belief of age of consent

and as i said in the other thread in ohio if they are within 3 yrs of each other it is not abuse or rape due to an age issue

I am glad that Ohio has that Law. To bad so many go to prison for this reason.

This happened to a local young man with a promicing future.

He was a honor student and I do not know exactly what else but had never been an any trouble with the law.

He left HS and went to college as and Engineering major i believe at K-State. Was doing very well thier.

He met this girl in a local night club actually him and a friend met 2.

They went back to what they said was thier house to party when the club closed. She Drove.

They went in and things got heated up and they has consenting sex well he thought.

When later he was picked up the police asked if he had had sex with this girl. He said Yes he had nothing to hide and told them the whole story.

Even though this girl on the witness stand changed her story 3 Times about what happened.

The Jury did not find reasonable doubt and he spent 5 years in the Kansas Pen.

He just got out and His mother posted that he had been out on a local bulliten board on the TV stations site.

The response i was quite surprised the people men and women young and old. Telling of the character of this young man and ex girlfriends speaking of the respect he had always showed them..

It was really emotional as he can not find a job now because of his record.

Women can lie all they want and this is considered ok by our Justice system.

Not to long ago ( this is not trying to be racists at all just what happened). It was announced a Black man had been released from prison after 19 years, The woman who accused him had just got divorced and her youngest son had left home and the poor poor lady was feeling guilty so she went and explained what had really happened 20 years ago.

She was having an affair with a black man and became pregnant.

She did not know what to tell her husband.

So this is what she did. she went and said she was Raped by a Black man and gave a general description of him.

The police had her come in to look at a lineup and this poor soul she picked as her rapists.

Not who even got her pregnant. which would of been wrong also.

Thier was a press conference. The Chief of Police explained what had happened.

The he said.. " WE DO NOT BELIEVE IN THE INTEREST OF JUSTICE THAT THIS LADY SHOULD BE CHARGED WITH ANY CRIME AND WILL NOT BE. WE APPLAUD HER FOR COMING FOWARD AT THIS TIME AND TELLING THE TRUTH. WE NEED MORE CITIZENS LIKE HER TO BE BRAVE ENOUGH TO TELL THE TRUTH"

What LETS give this woman a Key to the CITY for SENDIND A INNOCENT MAN TO PRISON.

Oh my grandfather would be in trouble. I think he was 18 and my grandma was 16. Thats when they got married anyway.

And eye for an eye a tooth for a tooth was always a principle for the family to get justice.

This was taken out of the laws hands unless the victim or thier family asked the judge to make the decision.

A crime against you even if found guilt you had the right to set them free or give them the max penalty and an eye for an eye came in because thier were no prisons.

Punishment was swift not like the romans.

Thier were no million dollar lawyers for the rich to go scott free while the innocent poor goes to prison.
