The united states has more oil available than all the other oil countries combined---So why not drill for oil/coal-to oil/Nuclear Energy-- with a new company called American Energy.. So we can become energy independent, using oil now---and making the American people only pay 1$(since it comes from America) Take .25cents on the dollar and put it into education, another .25 cents and put it into health care, take another .25cnets and put it into Social security and the last .25 cents into Alternative Fuel research?

the American people use 15million gallons of gas each day. .25*15mil = 375,000$ a day going into schools/health care/Social security and Alternative Fuel Research--or better yet 136million a year!! that’s more money than the government puts into education each year by 100million!!!

Not including what are taxes already put in there!!!

I believe we should use should proceed with more drilling, mining & domestic refineries cautiuosly while still persuing alternatives. Obviously it will take time to convert things & we will need oil for a long time to come. I am not a scientist or engineer, but it seems to me that we have unused energy all around us, solar, wind, waves & other hydroelectric sources, methane, just s few an uneducated person like myself can name. I think the problem is that the powers that be are so heavily invested in oil & coal that they won't seriously consider anything else.

i want to move to texas or alaska and drill for my own oil....

Our generation has to take responsibily for our forefathers past. That's what America is based upon. Not to remain comfortable on past accomplishments. Move foward. Adapt.

well I can use to sticks to find water so I'm sure we could find something similar to find oil if not we'll have a bunch of pools(for texas) ice ice rinks(for alaska) we could charge people to use...lol
