Is it completly useless? I have a signal strength always around 90-100 yet get disconnected more then Vista kicks you from games. Is it really that shoddy, or is there something I'm possibly missing?

How do you know he doesn't already have one? What if the games he wants to play are not on the 360? It doesn't sound so simple to me.

Yeah...I already have that paperweight, breaks on average every six months.

Got the patch, nothing noticeable other than I keep my connection for maybe 5 minutes longer.

Wow, I have had mine over a year and no problems. Maybe because I have an elite and they just made it better.

Could be, I know the original 360's GPU sits right under the disc tray. Never really was a fan of Xbox, only reason I have one is for some of the exclusive games...have the PS3 to play more often.

for all you xbox lovers, the ring is coming for you!!!! as for ps3 wifi, is it on a secure network? i had the same prob until i encrytped my network. neighbor was usin it! also. the distace of your router from you sysetem will affect it. also clearing junk from the hardrive never hurts...my lil bros ps3 is still hardwired and he has more problems than i do...also the game you are playing, and im guessing gta4, could have bugs in the network that get patched up...always get updates, keep it vented and clean! if problems persist contact your ISP or PSN for help
