I bought two potties (twins) which had some stickers provided and anytime they were successful they got a sticker on the lid of the potty
They were about 11 months old I started by 2years old one did not need diapers but the other continued having accidents until 5

I tried around 1 and 1 1/2 with my son.... at right after he turned 2 he told me basically that he was ready...

So if she is taking initative.... put the potty out there and see what happens... but don't push the issue... see if she takes charge... if not give it some time.... and ask her if she's ready.

good luck!

I just let my little guy run around without a diaper on.

I knew he was ready b/c I would put a diaper on him when I would run up to the store and he would hold it until we would get home.

I don't see why it would hurt to try. Just don't get discouraged if she backslides. It happens alot and just takes patience and practice. Good luck!flowerforyou

A: How's the potty training going for you? Children are ready at different times to begin using the potty. Signs of readiness are first letting you know when he needs to be changed, then signally you before he needs to go and later making it in to the toilet - at least some of the time. Make sure to praise him for any success no matter how small. Most boys are ready to begin using the potty closer to 21/2, but if he's showing you he's aware of his body and seems ready, then go for it! Otherwise, take a step back and relax. Often, if you have an outside pressure on you to get him trained, such as the arrival of a sibling or preschool deadline, it won't happen leaving all involved frustrated. The good news is that eventually, everyone uses the toilet!

It sounds like she is ready, so it wouldnt hurt to give it a try. But remember she is still a baby and accidents will happen, dont get mad. If she loses interest (which my daughter did) then give potty training a break. She will do it in her own time, not yours.

Good luck and Happy Birthday to her
