a good question ,when a human suffers and wants to die, no one can do anything legally. basically you just have to watch them lay there and suffer.but people on life support well they cant choose either but someone else can, i dont get that.
agreed with that...

honestly couldnt do it cause its gods choice when its time for someone to go not mine
then why does god make innocent suffer, and criminals get away, and what i mean by that is crash victims, street racers killin the innocent.!!?

legally..all the family has to do is make the patient a hospice patient. and pain control is the main priority. to make that patient comfortable.

and people on life support...if the prognosis becomes terminal..most families make the decision to stop life support. and thus combined with hospice...can make a peacful death.

I was with someone who was found to be terminal. The pain was exasperating for her though she left not wanting me to watch her die if asked too maybe towards the unbearable end *shrugs*

Just know we haven't matured enough to be able to come to a rationale decision on it. Though personally think a person should have that choice...after appropriate counseling. Death is a normal part of the life process. A person who is terminally ill or has lost the majority of the quality of their life should have the option. JMO

I used to ask myself that question alot, until the deaths of a few friends actually helped turn my life around. Actually believed God allowed it to work on me and others in their life. sad2

No and I will tell you why.

When the body is in such severe pain, the mind goes, it is a defense mechanism. Any person in their right mind would not ask a close person to assume the task of their death.

Ending a loved ones life would not just end one life but two. The person who actually did it would never be at peace again.

There are times when a terminally ill person is in such pain that they want to die, and then suddenly there is a period or remission in which their life is prelonged and they can be with and say the things that are important to loved ones. Those precious moments should not be robbed by anyone who thinks that they know better.

I say no, it has to be natural and as hard as it seems it is the only way.

YA know helping somebody not have any pain...
its not like stabbing them or anything!!

its making their last moments more comfortable.
palliative care..
its a good thing!

I am sorry was the question giving them drugs to cope with the pain and make them comfortable or killing them?

someone you care deeply about is suffering as a result of a terminal illness. If it were their wish, would you consider helping them end their life?

We're all suffering from a terminal illness. Peccy, don't be so ... so... I mean it's only a few grey hairs.... Not like you're dying tomorrow or anything...
