or if you hate, how can you love? i don't get the love/hate thing. why do people join the two? could it be that you just don't love at all or just don't hate at all? can anyone explain this stuff?

I believe for most people, it's simply an expression. Hate is an emotion that runs pretty deep. How many people can honestly say the hate someone?

its ever so confusing but very much so possible to do both at the same time

It took me a long time but I found out it was easer to love then to hate, now I feel so empty inside I cant do either one.

i've heard someone say before you can only hate someone if you've loved them before. i think it's totally different for everybody--- there are so many different 'flavors' of love, and meanings.
i side with the person who began the thread. i believe that if you are capable of love, if you love strongly or have in the past, then a part of that compassion will always be in your mind. and to hate or wish harm on someone contradicts entirely any sentiment of love. |

She was worse than a nightmare she still is and makes life very miserable but nevertheless I find my happiness makes her miseable and I plan to live happily ever after   |

people have the mistaken idea that hate is the opposite of love, when actually the opposite of love is indifference....to hate someone requires just as much (if not more) energy as it does to love them...

I love my two great nephews but I can say with out a doubt I HATE their mother and praying does not help been there done that and she is still here and making everyone's else life hell. So you see I can love and hate really easy.
