When do you feel is the right time to discuss taking that next step? I'm in no rush but im just curious to know other people's input. When is discussing this topic appropriate without scaring the other person?

Depends on the situation...
How long have you been with him..
How many times have you already spent nights over there..
How about weekends or weeks at a time..
I think that if you already been had a drawer there and are buying things to keep there.. food and ect.. then maybe it is okay to mention it...

I dont know... depends!

My wife and I were together for two years before we moved in together. I didn't even realize it happened, lol. Her stuff just starting finding its way into my home and there it stayed. laugh

There's no rush though. You just really need to make sure your relationship is mature enough to handle it. It's not easy when you first move in together. Especially when your ideas of housekeeping differ so greatly.

IMO the best thing to do is to start spending nights, then weekends, then go from there and see how you two get along in while living together.

I usually wait until my partner can afford the deposit and first and last month's rent before considering moving in with them.

If you are not ready to get Married, dont even think about moving in together. So many People think living as married couples is the same as being married.Until something goes wrong. Enjoy your young life, because once the responsibilities of a family start, you cant go back. Relax, and enjoy life.waving flowers

Good advice, and i am in no rush. i have been there before and i dont wanna rush into it again. I do spend weekends and a few nights a week sometimes. It slowly started to happen. so i will take it one step at a time.

I think it depends on how much "stuff" you have. It's a big decision if you have a house and garage full of stuff.

On the other hand, if you are traveling lite and live in a small apartment, what the heck, go for it. drinker
