...if people don't want to send emails through this site, but want to do so through personal email addys?
I've had several men email me showing interest and when I respond and try to get a conversation going they don't answer any of my questions and immediately want me to email them elsewhere. It just seems fishy to me. If you're online already, what does it matter if I'm emailing to yahoo or here? |

I'd keep it in Mingle until you get to know them better. If they don't want to do that, cut 'em loose.

I wouldn't, yes it sounds weird. When I get that I just tell them I only email on here until I get to know them pretty well first, and don't give out ANY personal info for quite a while, especially since I have kids here, and I don't know what kind of person they are, no matter what they say or seem at the moment, I'm not taking any chances.

No, I'm not from a small town, but I do wonder if I'm being *too* uptight and paranoid sometimes, since it is only an email address and not a phone number or something. I was just curious to see what others here thought about it and if it's something they've encountered frequently. |

If they want to talk to you bad enough they will talk to you on your terms........no other emails........no IMs.............

I like to do some sort of IMing as soon as I can as opposed to keeping it on here or anything.
And emails... I have plenty and I use different ones depending what it's for. If I'm emailing it's gonna be on here but I'll take IMing over this any day. Not like you're really giving out personal info that way unless you voluntarily fill that stuff in (which I don't anyway). |
