Sadly, much of what you've paid into the system in the past 7 years has been wasted in Iraq destroying and killing. Our kids will be paying our SS if there still is one. Great, the liberal playing the Iraq Card again... Has anyone noticed when it is not going their way, they magically pull out the Iraq Card and play it. What's not going my way? This is amusement. Lindy, i take slight offense to that, as i have friends who cannot work due to health conditions. I would gladly take money out of my check every month to help support them

Oh, yeah Bush tried to do something about social security. He advocating privatizing it. Look around at failing banks, the FDIC saying recently it may not have the money to cover all bank failures, the out of control manipulation of the oil markets, companies like ENRON and the collapse of the housing markets and tell me privatizing social security would be a good idea?
Oh, by the way, I don't beleive the Dem's will "solve" the troubles with the SSI because it's to good an issue to campaign on especially as the population ages. |

LBJ tried to fight poverty and Vietnam simultaneously and we got the inflation and recession of the 70's.
