OPRAH! Another Lib who tries to pass herself off as above the frey. Hmf! Clarence Thomas too??? she is nothing more than a partisan.
SARAH PALIN really blew the lid off the idea that liberal is mainstream America when it's really only ever been the "fringe." Oprah Denies Report She's Balking at Having Palin on Show Friday, September 05, 2008 E-Mail Respond Print Share: AP Dec. 8, 2007: Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama with his wife Michelle and Oprah Winfrey during campaign rally in Des Moines, Iowa. Oprah taking sides? The queen of talk says it ain't so. Winfrey reacted strongly Friday to a report posted on the Drudge Report that claimed she and "a couple of her top people are adamantly" against booking newly minted Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on her show. "The item in today’s Drudge Report is categorically untrue," Winfrey said in a statement sent to news organizations in reaction to the DrudgeReport.com posting. "There has been absolutely no discussion about having Sarah Palin on my show. At the beginning of this presidential campaign when I decided that I was going to take my first public stance in support of a candidate, I made the decision not to use my show as a platform for any of the candidates. I agree that Sarah Palin would be a fantastic interview, and I would love to have her on after the campaign is over." That said, Winfrey used her show to introduce Barack Obama to America's women voters, and has endorsed and campaigned with the Democratic nominee. She also was very visible at Obama's acceptance speech last week in Denver. Winfrey's staff reportedly is sharply divided on booking Palin. "Half of her staff really wants Sarah Palin on," a source told Drudge. "Oprah's Web site is getting tons of requests to put her on, but Oprah and a couple of her top people are adamantly against it because of Obama." Oprah last year blocked an appearance by Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas, timed to a promotional tour of his autobiography. The Drudge Report also cites Oprah and her executive producer Sheri Salata as big contributors to Obama's campaign. Obama has been on "Oprah" twice — in January 2005 and again in October 2006 — before he announced his run for president. |

You really like to hear yourself, don't you?

Just expressing my thoughts.
So what's your problem? You don't like free speech or is it just the speech of those YOU agree with only & all others need not apply? So much for the lib take on free speech. ![]() Right? |

hahah Right on...so speculation on what members of Oprahs staff might think about a possiable Palin appearance is damning eh?
Funny how when I and others post factual data, like McCain's statements from McCain's website, we are accused of creating b.s. Then I log in and see this post. Unnamed sources speculating about what others might think. As far a the Thomas appearance goes here is another perspective to consider. Many books go to press every year and publishers fall all over themselves to book promotional appearances on shows from Morning Tea with Jack & Jill in Bulls Corners, ID to the Today show to Oprah. Most show's devote x amount of time to authors, celebs, how to's etc. It is entirely possiable that Oprah simply did not have a time slot to offer. I am not an Oprah fan myself. I just can't watch it. |

OPRAH has turned into a one person brainwasher.
It proves that all the money in the world doesn't mean a thing when you squander it deceiving people. |

Barack sacrificed himself going on Bill Orally so Oprah didn't have to host hot Sarah. There's equilibrium in the Force.

So? Did you hear McCain's speech last night? I'm wondering what you think about what he said?
What impressed me was how his captivity changed him. To put country over self. That was so believeable to me. I was also impressed with his wife, Cindy. I never knew about their family background. All you hear is he married money blah blah blah! they have three of their own children & adopted four others along the way. all seven were on stage last night. That was so awesome to me. I seem to think anyone who has experienced what he did I can believe it changes their perspective over someone who has never had to really suffer. That was an amazing thing to me. It makes me think that maybe I was wrong about McCain after all. Just sayin'... |

Actually, the more I listen to John McCain and ignore the press filtering of him, the more I think he'd make a good president. Aside from the "war on terror," he doesn't share much policy position with Dubya and ****. Still, his support of the Iraq war is a biggie. I don't give a **** whether he was right about the "surge." We shouldn't have been there in the first place.
And I fell asleep during his "speech." |

Random off topic question here since that seems to be the thing to do.
Any thoughts on Cindy McCain's $300,000.00 outfit? |

LOL How about all the kids they adopted? I think that's a loving way to spend money, but you still have to have that in your heart to do. That's what I'm talking about. |
