Okay, I was banned from this site for pointing out that some people couldn't write a readable sentence.

Is it too much to hope that a delegate to a national party convention know the names of it's nominees?

I don't imagine this post will go over well as have all my other posts pointing out silly ****...but as the honorable republican delegate from Tennessee says "I think all 55 of them still counted, and that's what was important,"

Tennessee's convention votes cast for 'George S. McCain'

In a slip of the lip echoing a misstatement 20 years ago, Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey cast Tennessee's 55 votes at the Republican National Convention for "George S. McCain."
Ramsey, chairman of the delegation, said Friday that he was concentrating on the first part of his floor statement, wherein he recalled that George Bush in 2000 defeated Democrat Al Gore Jr. in Tennessee, then lapsed into an auctioneer's chant.

An auctioneer by profession, Ramsey spoke in a sing-song voice as if bidding up the number of votes to be cast for Tennessee for John McCain. At the end, he declared, "Tennessee casts 55 votes for George S. McCain."
"The ironic thing is that, back in 1988, Lamar Alexander, who was chairman of the delegation to the convention then, nominated 'Robert Bush' for president," said Ramsey.
He said Alexander told him at breakfast the day before the convention: "Don't do what I did."

"I told him, 'I don't think that will be a problem. I can remember his name.' "

Ramsey said relatively few people noticed his misstatement in naming the presidential nominee at the convention because "they were laughing or mesmerized by the auctioneer part."
The lieutenant governor said he was not especially unsettled by the experience.

"I think all 55 of them still counted, and that's what was important," he said.

Sheep...

Really? Banned?

Yes, I was banned for this site's forums for what ended up being five days for criticizing another poster's (I did not make it personal) inability to write a readable sentence.

Silly me, I am not going to go cry in the corner because someone who can't spell and uses caps lock tells me my opinion doesn't count because I am not a Christian ( am I or aren't I?) because I am liberal ( am I or aren't I?) or because I don't fall to my knees and buy the hype?

More than one posting of mine has been removed as well. Posting this may well earn me another ban. I was warned that posters who are banned usually are permanently banned after returning.

I wrote to the mods imploring them to evenly enforce forum rules from my first warning and after my reinstatement. I won't mention any mod by name but I will say I have to say this earnestly, there are some mods here who have taken the time to respond and who have been accessible and reasonable in their approach. Others, well not so much, they seemed to ignore the sites rules and arbitrarily enforce forum rules.

In the end nearly every site is a commercial enterprise. They are responsible for and are expected to control the content to some extent. I have no issues with that. However, I expect honesty from admins. If this site has an editorial position that is unclear then make it clear please. Otherwise apply your forum rules equally.

My communication with site mod's has been good lately and in closing I must say site mods are in a nearly unwindable position. Cries of favoritism are not uncommon. In essence they are parents to a family of warring children.

I appreciate that but I will not quit speaking out.

I received notice this morning that in one of my posts the word idiots was changed to people.

Idiots is apparently considered an insult that might hurt others.

I look forward to the site mods editing other posters as they have me. *sarcasms* Actually, I'll take that back and here's why. Perhaps some of the posts appearing on these forums will be easier to read after editing.
