Well lemme tell you what, I went out with my friends tonight and it was bothering me that I was called uncompassionate and the such and that I NEEDED a man so I asked my bestest, (who I'm at his house right now typing this) if he thought that of me...He's as brutally honest if not more than me and here is what he said...

"Aim, people who know you know who you are, the people who love you know what you do for others, they see the charity work you do for the Battered Woman's shelter and Violet's cupboard (an AIDS shelter) and we know who you are and where you stand with compassion, if people aren't willing to help themselves neither are you. If asked you will give your honest opinion, if they take it great, if they don't and then come back to whine about what has happened you have no sympathy for them."

When speaking about NEEDING a man he said "anyone that thinks you can't get a man has never seen you out on the town, you're picky, you discriminate and you don't take any sh*t, and most men don't stack up, as well they shouldn't, you're like my sister and no man is good enough for you." (then he went on to tell me about the last 'chach' I dated)

So no I don't NEED a man, especially one that is verbally abusive... I've done enough work with the Battered Women's shelter to know that verbal abuse leads to physical abuse.

If anyone thinks I'm heartless and mean... it speaks more of them than it could of me.

Lil, I'd say your friend it right... I'm not sure why or where your needing a man came in but no one should need one.. a partner should enhance our life to walk side by side not be what we need to feel whole... I can't understand people that need someone, if they do and accept anyone then there is something wrong with that picture.. Not our topic I know but it just made me think..

I've been asked why i don't post much anymore, its because this place is like high school. The social clicks are everywhere and if your not apart of one than to hell with you, as they would say.

Least to say, i've never been part of a social group and never will be. My posts go unread because i'm not popular enough to comment, even tho i bring valid points and insight.

But thats fine, as i've learned to fight my mental battles without the help of others because others will only complicate it.

cloudy, I disagree.. I see a lot of people post in all different threads, I've seen them post in yours and you post in others... It's probably that they don't last as long as you'd like, which happens to all of us...

and we should all be able to go into a thread where someone is seriously talking about they are having an emotional breakdown and tell them to "get a life"

Or tell someone who has just broken up with their boyfriend and is hurting...to GET a VIBRATOR and start a new habit!

or...tell someone who just lost a loved one...GET OVER IT WE ALL DIE!
