Re the so called governments responsibility for people losing their houses...

OK... Lets get real...

IF YOU RE-FINANCED YOU HOUSE TO PAY YOU STUPID CREDIT CARD DEBT YOU DID IT TO YOURSELF.

SPEND MORE THAN YOU MAKE AND IT WILL BITE YOU IN THE LONG RUN.

Before you all jump me for this.

Unemployement 6% or so...

If they all lost their houses that would mean only HOW MANY... out of all americans that have lost their houses.

How many lost because they had overlarge medical bills ... perhaps it might be as high as 24% or so..

the rest are where they are cause they overspent and now they expect the GOVERNMENT to fix it.

fiscal responsibility... starts at home.

Kiss mine.

The rich are going to squeeze you like a sponge, one way or the other.

If everyone piled into a trailer, never spent anything, stayed healthy, garden or greenhouse, made their clothes, organized a small bus for carpool, and so on, I think the rich would drop some giant bombs to smoke you out.

There's no escape.

You cant put all the blame on the people..Yea some over spent.. Some lost their jobs, medial bills overwhelmed them, got suckered by the lender into %0 down variable rate mortgages..The people didn't over inflate the appraisals or where I'm from doubled their homeowners while the government rebuilds million dollar mansions on islands off of the coast of Mississippi for the 17th time!!!!..Now they want to bail out the people that are to blame the most in the first place...THE LENDERS!!!!

I say stop complaining about problems unless you have a viable potential solution.

actually they are bailing out just about every person who has an FHA loan. If Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac go under everyone loses their homes

Not a complaint... Statement of fact-as-I-see-it.

but I'll take that coke.

The lenders can't mess with your rates unless you allow them to convince you to refinance except in a few cases.

Most people I have personally seen loose a house had also *giant screen Plasma TV, * 4 wheel recreational vehicles, * TV in every room, personal computer for each family member (i.e overcredit to the eyeballs). I am not talking about the Fmae/Fmac good ole boy i messed up please fix it. Those guys were stealing from the top. I'm talking about the people that... Lets face it straight... are stealing from the bottom cause that is what a credit card allows you to do.

If people used self restraint and good old common sense, they would make sure they lived within
their means. Homes/credit cards/cars etc.

There have been those that were not as knowledgeable or gullible for lack of a better word that fell prey to lenders scams, but even still do you not think if it sounds too good to be true, it's because it is too good to be true!

Dude:I payed mine off years ago living in my means...So really I have no problems..The problems are mostly sub-prime loans on over appraised homes!!! That put the market in the gutter for everyone else...
