The Block Down The Street

Just like an old time movie,
With memories of bygone.
Children shooting fireworks.
Little girls sing songs.
Laughter and the stories,
Tables filled with food.
Barbecues are hot and ready.
There's pop and cold, cold brew.
Most of all, the welcome.
Relaxing with your friends.
Work has ceased a moment,
Today until it ends.
Time to watch the movie,
Enjoy the last, last stay.
Screened across the big TV,
Down the block's big way.
