I have dated older and younger and think it depends on the person and their personality a lot but not completely.

If a person has a different maturity level it is kind of tough for the one who has to let the other learn from their experiences just like they did or the less mature person feels put down while the more mature person gets tired of repaying the dues so to speak.

When there is a dramatic age difference it often shows in conflict if kids are involved. It is hard to parent or step parent if you are close to the age of the child. I have seen many times where the parent was dominated by their kids or even grandkids and they thought they were going to dominate me and I just backed out of the relationship fast.

Last but not least is as you age and health issues become more chronic if one person becomes a caregiver the relationship really changes. It is very hard being left a living widow by Alzhemiers or infact being a widow. Getting remarried at an older age is very difficult so setting your setting yourself in a lopsided relationship can mean your golden years are very lonely.

i'd rather have sex with a guy that i'm in love with

his age, his experience, his size, his stamina, his anything, do not ever take the place of his love for me, or my love for him. THAT is what makes sex great

Ditto best answer I have read besides so what if they need the little blue pill or other means of help. It is all in the way they treat you and that they truly love you and not just there for the sex and off and running when they get tired of being with you.bigsmile

I've never intentionally dated younger guys, they just happened to approach me and I guess I just happened to agree, LOL. About the older guys, I'm not attracted to them and we have little in common. So I guess I could say I date younger guys, "by happy accident." laugh

I would prefer an older woman, but only seem to attract women in there 20's... I don't look my age so I always attract the younger ones.. I am getting tired of them to, need to find me a nice looking sweet older woman 35-50... Seems they know how to treat their men better..

I usually prefer somewhat older, but it really does just depend on the person. If we click in and out of the bedroom then age isn't really that important. With that said I won't date someone in thier early twenties or someone older than 55, just because the young'ens are just starting thier lives and I probably wouldn't have alot in common and the semi older generation are getting ready to retire and enjoy the retirement years and I would be stuck at home working and raising my son when they were ready to see the world. it's the general commonalities we should have in common. BUT I suppose there are exceptions to every rule.. PHEW!!! I am long winded!!

Yep, if there's no common ground, it won't work. That goes for age, and other factors too.
