A world without the United States.

What would the world be like without the United States.

Let's say two major earthquakes hit the USA simultaneously.
One earthquake hitting California the San Andreas fault.
The second earthquake hits Central US the Madrid fault.

The US is crippled economically, and it's infrastructure shaken to the core.
The stock market crashes, a depression engulfs the country.

The rest of the world suddenly finds it's self home alone overnight.

What type of new world order would emerge?
What global scenarios would take shape?
What other countries would seek global power?

Because of the things Bush has put into place, via the SPP/NAU and without Congressional oversight, we will find ourselves under UN rule and policed by foriegn military personel.

Martial Law will be common practice for Americans as we are forced into work brigades, our assets and belongings seized and our Constitutional rights no longer exists (say goodbye to your guns and a right to speak out).

actually Spanish would be the language to learn..Latin America is rich in just about every resource the world needs..we export more grain to Asia than the US, we export beef to the world, including the US..there is oil, minerals, and the largest supply of fresh water is in Argentina. Brazil is a power house industry producing everything from qtips to automobiles....ah, and dont forget those poppy fields..

Keep an eye on us, if we can get rid of the foreign intervention that keeps mired in corruption, we're gonna make a huge splash in the world economy.

There would be oppression...like what was happening in Afghanistan & still in the Sudan. Slavery in Africa...low standards of living as in many parts of the world. Like it or not, without the USA human atrocities would happen worse than any other time in history.

That's what it would look like & to all who think America is so aweful...go live in China or any of these places. You might just learn to appreciate your country.

We've been home alone every night...laugh

I suspect financially we would have a minute hiccup, then good old south east asia, and China would fill the tiny gap left by the non existant States.

The junk yard seconds we purchase from the US with military stuff, would just have a stamp on it with, Made in Russia, China, Iraq... and besides, the leftovers scatterd all over the place, (world) would keep us in ebay purchases with military surplus for the next thousand years anyways.

I suspect a lot of the displaced military in the middle east would be offered a home, and a deprogramming, free of charge..along with those poor buggers stuck in afganistan, and all those other hidey holes that they are stuck in.

New world order?

Perhaps a bit of a sigh of relief, then a shoulder shrug as the Northern hemisphere does it's power grapple AGAIN..


Actually other than the incestuous affairs of our government and yours, nothing would change.... we do our own thing, and most of our stuff is made in the south east anyways.

We also do ok with our own technology and medical advances...

I do believe the grief would be huge, at the loss of innocent life..unlike some places who shall remain nameless, we aussies rarely call devasting loss of life, collateral damage.

Oh! ANd the 77 gazillion dollar debt, with accruing interest??? It would be wiped out of course!

But paid in kind for those left homeless.

Probably not, but I was thinking since Japan and Central America picked up baseball from us, Hockey might get a boost from Canadian Ambassadorship to the world.

Why is it always the most close minded of people advocating for others to leave the U.S. if we don't like it? Isn't it one of the founders that said "Dissent is the greatest form of Patriotism"... That was Thomas Jefferson. We went from that to "Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice..(unintelligible mumbling)....won't get fooled again" George W.Bush.

If you don't like Americans excercising the rights given them by the Creator and insured to them by the Constitution of the United States, our Governing document, then I would suggest it's not the dissenters who are in the wrong place...

Wow, 90% of that insult was race and diet...

As far as being low lived, History speaks a different story. Mean spirited? I wouldn't know, I never met the man.
