Since I've heard people today clamoring for the elimination of Sarbanes/Oxley (to save businesses from failing?? Yeah, that was the intention.

Okay, I'm really trying hard to understand this whole mess and for the life of me, I'm just not getting it. I just got yelled at by my brother because I said it didn't affect me so I'm not worried about. Maybe that was the wrong choice of words to use, but honestly, I don't get how it does affect me. Anyone care to enlighten me on my ignorance? And btw, isn't the price of oil dropping a good thing? |

Since oil is a dollar based commodity, when the dollar is worth less, the price of oil goes up. Higher price of oil, pretty much means higher price of everything that is affected by oil. (Food, clothes, energy, etc.) So yeah, the bill failing is a good thing and oil dropping is a good thing. |
