| Topic: Movie Makeer Keeps Crashing | |

I had to download Windows Movie Maker as it did not come with my "borrowed" copy of XP. Movie Maker crashes on me literally every 30 seconds. I am wondering if it is because of my "borrowed" copy of XP is the reason for it crashing. I thought trying to download a different copy of Movie Maker and it was a no go.
Anybody have a reason why this is happening? |

I am just going to quietly bump this up, as I am still having problems here and really want to get my homework done.

Anybody have a reason why this is happening? What message do you get when it crashes? Is there a .dll or .exe or a .anyextension file that is named? Find the file (do a search) and change the file name too temp*.xxx where * is the filename and xxx is the extension. |

Your registry is probably screwed up, honestly with a "borrowed" version of windows there may be nothing that can be done. |

You could always go and buy a copy of XP so that it's no longer "borrowed".

http://www.brothersoft.com/registry-repair-36275.html You can try this program, though I've never used it. (Research verified however)
It may fix the issue, but it could also cause more issues with a "borrowed" version. |

Cause quite frankly now you are off topic as this board has NOTHING to do with said advice. |
