Col. Powell just endorsed Obama on Meet the Press.

I'm not surprized...it was Colin Powell who stopped BUSH from finishing the job in the first gulf war. It left his son to have to finish the job.

Let's not forget the muslim brotherhood...OBAMA, POWEL & FARAKHAN...perfect together. If you think they won't force sharia law down the rest of the world look at countries like DENMARK & England...who's LIB progressives...choke...(more like digressives), allowed it into law.

Its a pitty Powell served under bush or he would have had a great chance of being president himself. I think if Powell would have resigned prior to last election and spoke out against Bush it would have been enough to sway the election but Powell being the good soldier he is kept his mouth shut at the cost of 4 more years of Bush and the rapeing of our country.

Of all the ridiculous posts I have seen on this forum this one has to be one of the most over the top.

Powell did not stop Bush in the first gulf war. Powell is not a Muslim. He has never supported sharia law. Revisionist history, fear mongering and a complete ignorance of facts, the way laws are made in the United States and hatred...why am I not surprised?

I watched the political shows this morning with interest. I wanted to see how republican talking heads would deal with this endorsement. They had a fine line to walk. Powell is a lifelong republican and one of the people the party has always embraced as a fine republican American hero.

Reactions I saw this morning were subdued and respectful. Of course I wasn't watching FOX...how'd it play over there?

I am sure McCain and republican staffs are busy putting together a properly spinned reaction to this news. We might see it by tonight but more likely early in the week we will hear more. Unless they decided to ignore it and hope it goes away.
