Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting, the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Do you believe Congress does interfere with freedom of speech, press, religion, etc. in today's society? If yes please explain. If you believe it doesn't then also please explain your position. |

It's not just Congress, it's pretty much the entire Government. If I go into a courtroom and I disagree with a Judge, I'm not allowed to tell him that I think his a M'F' idiot, that lands me in a cell for contempt. Congress helped to enact the free speech zones, which have pretty much silenced the protesters from having their moment of dissent heard by those it's directed at. McCain/Feingold... need I say more. |
