The meteor..

I was outside night before last at 3:45 a.m. I had gone to check on my Dad who was trying to get out of bed, and I was taking the puppy out to do his thing on the lawn.

It was a cloudy night and I could not see any stars, but the moon was high and had a ring around it above me. Looking to the east above the horizon I saw a very bright, very large (or very close) streak across the sky like a meteor coming in to hit the earth. It may have been even brighter if there had not been clouds blocking the view.

It was not your average tiny shooting star. I thought I would hear a crash or explosion. But it's light went out before it reached the ground.

It was an exciting experience on a dark and cloudy night with a ring around the moon.

:smile:Very cool.flowerforyouI seen a small space rock actually hit the ground once when I was a teenager.flowerforyou It sounded like a small bomb went off when it hit the ground and it was a little bigger than a baseball.:smile:We didnt touch or go near it because we were scared of it being radioactive or something like that.
