Heard a news blurb on the way to work. An athlete spit on a woman in a bar. They aired his apology.

1. He apologizes to her family, his family, and mostly, to a lot of sports related people.
2. He NEVER apologizes to her.

3. He says he was going to get help in as much as getting his life back on track and working on what he can work on. Because he doesn't like the direction his CAREER is going....
4. Alcohol was involved, but he does not say anything about getting help with alcohol or anger issues.

5. This was the most obvious "I'm-not-really-apologizing" apology I've ever heard.
6. He seemed to be more sorry that he embarrassed his team and his coaches than he was sorry for the bad behavior. He seemed to be most sorry that he even had to make any kind of public statement.

Doesn't anyone review these public apologies prior to them being performed to make sure the individual doesn't actually say anything that makes him look worse rather than better?

I'm not surprised really...most of these athletes should have there tongues cut out...it would be better for there careers (that way we won't find out what egotistical @ssholes they are)smokin

I think some athletes should be told where to stand, to just look 'athletic' and, what ever they do, don't talk!

I said 'SOME' not all. So don't anyone start saying I'm over-generalizing and painting them all with the same brush.

Larry Johnson I guess?

Spitting on someone is a bad as it gets. I wouldn't spit on an enemy, let alone a female I don't even know.
