I just saw, on the news 9 ppl where caught stealing brock o bama signs they where all charged, 33 signs in all, Election is series, but how series is to series,

the italians up here love to steal signs during elections; most of them have all three major party's signs up on their lawns. they like to use the wooden sticks for their tomato plants!

this is obviously way beyond the normal reaction of americans favoring one side or the other, but have there been these types of issues in the past with other elections?
