I have been talking to many and mothers of military as well.....I hear that many of them are staying within the perimeters of their compound now. I am keeping up my hopes he doesn't have to go at all.
Thank you all for caring. I am close to having my pc back on soon. I could do this week....buuuuut....I may need the money for turkey day. If I don't get to see you before.....HAPPY THANKSGIVING TO YOU ALL!!!!! Kat |

I haven't heard from Brett in a month.....
    
My prayers to all who have deployed sons and daughters.. I think of you all...always....even if I don't correspond.... Many days I just can't.... I am working hard to take care of me emotionally and physically...thats what I have to do right now... Holidays coming.....Thanksgiving in my family is just another day..as my sons spent most yrs with their dad.. But Christmas with out Brett...I just want to be medicaded and sleep thru the days....til after the New yr....ugg All my love to you all... Semper FI Zanne  hugs

after he was missing in action for three months
and i am soo thankful  that he is healthy & safe

My baby boy Jay...got his papers again..."Operation Iraqi Freedom". He has to report to Fort Benning Georgia on Jan 8th....So much for him getting out....stop loss in action...thank you bushy....fu88 you very much!! I am beside myself...sick at my stomach and legs shaky...damnit.......he doesn't believe in this war either...as doesn't many other inlisted....he says anywhere else....I'm just sick. Kat
i got into an argument with my sister over this a few months ago about how a lot of troops no longer believe in this war. she was very adamant that they do and i have a cousin who is enlisted and deployed. he doesn't. :( i'm so sorry. i feel your pain. my heart goes out to ya. |

This is a very touchy subject for so many. I have talked with my Grandma about this as she was a military wife. She says this time really isn't any different than any other. I have numerous family members in the military and some in the sand box for the 3rd time. One by his choice, he volunteered to take his battalion back. The important thing is that we support our men and women regardless of our thoughts or feelings about the war itself or the president. As one of my cousins pointed out there is much more going on and at stake than we realize. He insists the media twists everything and that we are accomplishing something good. Does he want this to continue...heck NO!!! He is just so tired of being treated as less than human because he chooses to defend our country and the rights we have. Pretty sad if you ask me.

Hey there buddy, i hope his tour goes well and that he keeps out of harms way. at least hes not missing Christmas, you might be upset and hurting, and your son might feel the same way to a degree but hes been there before, although your scared about him leaving iraq has calmed down alot over the last 6-7 month theres a lot less activity.
