Have you ever deactivated,if so what was your reason if not what would cause you to deactivate?

no point in that, because it's free, so it'll always be here for friends....people who do, i think, try to leave the past behind, but they're leaving possible friends behind too. if they're doing it for a mate's insecurity, it's the wrong mate anyhow.

When all I seemed to find were people who ignored my profile. When I had a girl and people skipped my profile. When I decided it was a step in the direction of... something or another... When I was embarrassed from this post or that. When I was in the middle of a mental breakdown. When I didn't have internet. When I saw some long time friends making fun of my biweekly call to Mom, who I haven't seen in two years. Screw that... Flake much?

I choose to ignore some of the more hurtful or insulting stuff that goes on, instead of deactivating, I become more of a "lurker" and live in e-mails with my friends. People making fun of your calls to your mom were not "friends" - sorry that happened. I am a mom, and I talk to my daughter daily. Glad you are back.

A couple of times right after I signed up. First time I realized I had no business looking for a date, I was still to messed up after splitting up with the ex wife. Then because even if I was ready to date, the local prospects were rather limited. Then because I wasn't having any fun. I finally decided it, "F**K IT,I am just going to hang out, post in the forums, have some fun.
