"i’m" is a new initiative from Windows Live™ Messenger. Every time you
start a conversation using i’m, Microsoft shares a portion of the
program's advertising revenue with some of the world's most effective
organizations dedicated to social causes. We've set no cap on the amount
we'll donate to each organization. The sky's the limit. There's no
charge, so join now and put our money where your mouth is.

i’m is about making a difference. Not in a huge expensive way, not in a
time-consuming way. But in a simple, effective way.

You won't have to change your conversation to change the conversation.
With every instant message you help address the issues you feel most
passionate about, including poverty, child protection, disease, and
environmental degradation. It's simple. All you have to do is join and
start an instant messaging conversation. We'll handle the donation.

Once you've signed up, every ad you see in your message window
contributes to the grand total we send to the causes."

Even small initiative's make a big difference...check it out folks

It's Microsoft's payment for wanting to import hundreds of foreign IT
professionals in so they can pay them cheaper wages. Gates was on tv in
front of congress saying that we need to make our children smarter and
then in the same breath say we need to import more foreign tech jobs (ie
people who'd work for him cheap), instead hiring the numerous people
here who are talented.

LOL When attempting to promote something like this, a list of those
charities and such should be included. Not everyone believes in the
same cause.

and the person signing up for it should be able to dictate which charity
his/her portion goes to as well.

Failure is not an option. It comes guarenteed in every Microsoft
product.

I don't trust microsoft to make something as simple as my music player
work. Am I supposed to believe they can run multiple trillions of
seperate numbers together accurately to formulate a reasonable cherity
donation.

Also, considering how many scams use the name Microsoft to try to make
them look legit, no reason to believe this isn't another one of those.

Very ture in anything you give your money too. But, this is using IM,
don't pay a cent......costs nothing. Everytime you use your instant
messenger, Microsoft gives money to your choice organization from the
list.
