Not much to tune on a car anymore.
Replace the plugs, Carold's is older; can still tune it some.
Otherwise everything runs off computer & sensor's.

Yeah, I thought of something along those lines too. Like; " Unfortunatly mines parked in the garage for the winter".

Yesterday when I got on the highway I had no pickup --- what would I tell them to check? It is a '99 Subaru. Finding someone who won't rip you off is hard.

Ck. your local Better Business Ass.
They should have some kind of info.
Or ask another Subaru owner where they go.
Good diagnostic shop to start or dealership.

Is the engine missfiring?? Otherwise I'd just tell them that it's got no pick up. Go to a site called "car talk" .com they have what they call the mechanics files. People write in about good and bad mechanics. I think you can look up your area and there'll be a list of recomended guys and guys to stay away from. I think there are some similar sites around too. Other than that it's basically go by your instincts. If you feel like you are about to get ripped off or they are not listening to you, don't give them your bussiness.

Okie. City, should have a dealership, if you can't find anything else, start there.
Bet there are other foreign car shops around, ck phone book.
ask for cost of diagnostics.

Have someone check your catalytic converter or fuel filter. I had a van that lost power and it was the converter. They need replaced every so often. Mine caught on fire cause it was bad. A clogged fuel filter will also do that. Just a couple of things to check.

Thanks for the car tips everyone. I did just have the fuel filter replaced. The thing is it dosn't do it all the time .... so I just keep hoping it will go away laugh but realistically know that is not going to happen. Thanks again.
