It can be a bit of a crapshoot. Some of my closest friends on this site have found "the one" here and are doing incredibly well. On the other hand, I've been here two years and have yet to find anyone remotely compatible.

A lot depends on what you're looking for. The problem is, a lot of people say they're looking for one thing but are actually looking for something entirely different.

no, it's not. you're fine as hell, but if you talk as little as on your profile, it might make some people uneasy in conversation. if you have one word answers for everything, it's impossible for someone to get to know you, and it may be overwhelming at first, but take baby steps to open up. these forums can help with real life if you apply what you learn from here, and as you've found, it's not hard to talk generally on the threads, for some are really light. steadily work your way to deeper threads, and you will learn hand over fist......i promise.
