I ask myself that same question but then I remember that it's just too big a problem for me, which is why I put it in God's hands. Now I have to have faith and trust and hopefully, if it's his will, he'll see fit to bring me into sight of the right one.

BeautyfromPain...I don't know you and we hold very different religious beliefs. But it looks like we are in the same boat when it comes to finding a man.  I will not settle or push aside my beliefs in order to make a man feel comfortable. If he is so insecure he has to feel he is more important than god than I don't want him. Totally agree |

I see that your really into religion, and in my opinion, thats the reason men tend to shy away from you. Im not saying that you should change your profile, but your certainly limiting your chances of meeting a man with the one you have, in my opinion. You may not believe this, but there are alot of good men out there who don't believe in any god. Dennis No detriment to you or your faith....infact, KUDOS!... But, no doubt about it. It is really hard for a guy to think that you may love an actual man more than my/themselves....it is even more frustrating to know that we can't compete against a god that you will love far more than us and no matter how hard a man might try....God will always be better. What Dennis said is spot on accurate. No man ever died for me, but Jesus did! No man will love me unconditionally, but Jesus does! No man can save my soul, but Jesus did! I can love a man the way God showed me to and that is with all my heart and to be a helpmate to him, but you are right NO MAN will ever come before God with me, but I will respect and love him with the love God has put in me. I find it hard to believe that guys don't approach her all the time. She's very attractive. After lookin at her profile, I see that she is heavy into religion. Maybe thats why... Well I don't know why she is single but its pretty clear where you are going wrong. It's unheard of for someone to be selective and not be with just anyone b/c they show interest.. What about everything else going on in their lives? Just maybe that's not her thing... I know it's usually not mine... You don't have to figure out why she's single, picky, religion, it's not for you to figure out.. The sea isn't as deep as rumored.... Pardon me, but she started this thread. She was asking for opinions as to why she couldn't find a man, so she could walk thru the mall holding hands and laughing like the people she saw. By the way, if I ever see any valid proof that there is or ever was a god, I will to be a believer myself. I've not seen any yet...
Why is it that some people can believe in something that there is no real proof of, yet when someone is standing in front of you, trying to get to know you, and you have pretty good proof they really exsist, you form a quick opinion and blow them off. My life was a living hell at one time also, but I didn't need religion to straighten myself out. I simply had to stop drinking and making bad choices. God didn't save me, I saved myself. If you changed your life for the better, thats great ! But you need to realize that your the one who made the change, not some Mythical character that was made up by some superstitious people who lived long before they were burning witches (innocent people). Was walking around the mall earlier today. Saw lots of couples holding hands and laughing. Was wondering why don't I have anyone!!! I want that too!        Yep, she said she was wondering why, and to me thats asking for opinions. I gave her mine. Dennis |

It's not about competing or being second place. Trust me you wouldn't feel like second place if I am treating you like the Lord says to treat you. Sorry babe....from a man's perspective....it is 100% about feeling like you are second place. Think about it honey. If you were trying your hardest to be the best woman you could for me in everyway... How discouraging would you find it to find out that I could love a non physical concept....way more than I would ever love you. (That is a tough pill to swallow) Not saying that in a malicious way...just in a matter of fact way. I love my one...far more than I ever loved any God. I would hope that God would understand...If not...That is God's problem. 6.5 billion people on the planet and God is worried about the depth of my love? I give my love to the few who earn it. Not where others say I should place my love and devotion. |

we all have the freedom to believe as we choose, it should never become a debate about who is right.
But we SHOULD respect each other and each others beliefs. As for the Op's post, I have to agree completely. In spite of what I find to be the norm on this site..... there are a few folks who really do want the mall walking, hand holding, picket fence kinda thing, and even in the world we live in today, it aint that far fetched of an Idea. wouldnt mind finding it ......Myself. JMO  |
