If this world of 6.6 billion people all became atheists suddenly, would we have peace or would there still be wars happening because we as a human race can't get along no matter how hard we try?

The same question applies for Christians, Buddhists, Wiccas, or other religions.
In other words one whole world human population believes in the same organization or faith system.

There are more than religious battles in this world. So, no, I do not believe that there would be world peace. How are you this morning, my friend?flowerforyou

it's not the religions that cause wars, it's people

even if we were all the same (or none) religion there is still oil to fight over. or water. or territory

So in other words humans will never get along regardless of what is done. A world peace is unachievable.

This is a sad reality don't you thinksad

in all the history of the human race there has never been a time when there wasn't a war being fought somewhere

if only two people were left alive they would still find something to fight about

" Man is the only animal that deals in that atrocity of atrocities, War. He is the only one that gathers his brethren about him and goes forth in cold blood and calm pulse to exterminate his kind. He is the only animal that for sordid wages will march out...and help to slaughter strangers of his own species who have done him no harm and with whom he has no quarrel. ..And in the intervals between campaigns he washes the blood off his hands and works for "the universal brotherhood of man"--with his mouth."

Probably not until man learns to control the ego.
Not that, that is the only contributing factor.

You would have to remove anything that people can disagree over. Unfortunately, I think man would lose the traits that are held as admirable.

ie. football fans kill each other from time to time, no matter what the belief system.

However, not to be negative, I hope one day a way will be found by all.

I second that thought. I'm working on killing everyone's egos. It will take some time though.

Doesn't matter how many people or what they believe in 'cause as long as there is the lust for owning more than what is needed there will be wars.

Wars are not faught because of religion...it's mostly over money.

Things like religion & slavery are meat for the masses or there would not be slavery going on in the sudan this very day. We would also not be dealing with terrorism for that matter.

All these problesm are created by backward stone age thinking, a lack of knowledge & education too.

if the human population suddenly evolved without ego...then yes there would be peace....
