Why does that have to make you non friendly to another lifestyle? Here are copies of two of my posts. It will help explain me. I would like to add that I've attended Nar-Anon meetings and don't want drugs around me. I'm anti-drugs. I'm not closed minded. Been there, done that, grew up. Worked in a drug rehab. Have a person close to me in recovery. Went with them to NA and AA mtgs. I know a lot about it hence...I'm anti-drugs. If a person gets high by using drugs for escape, that person doesn't know who to deal with stress without it. They do not have the coping skills. They didn't mature emotionally. If someone gets high all the time from 10 yrs. old to 20 yrs. old, when they quit they have the maturity level of the 10 yr. old because they didn't deal with life on life's terms. You will hear them talk about this in the NA meetings. I also taught about it in the rehab. |

I know Winxie, I was just teasin ya I think if a person is against the use of intoxicants then I buy the argument. If the person is only against certain intoxicants then they are just trying to impose their personal preferences |

It infuriates me that someone trys to invoke our troops as supporting one of their rights while ignoreing the responsibility that goes with it. The responsibility to support the laws of the land that they are also fighting for. My mate and my son and the majority of military people I know see pot, or whatever new lingo you want to call it, as stupid way to ruin your own life and the lives of others. They; better than most, see what Drug Lords do in the world and what a bunch of undisciplene people who can't follow the rules and have to victimize the poor by turning their neighborhoods into war zones where criminals and junkies make it miserable for the decent people who have no choice but to live there. If you choose not to use legal drugs to overcome your pain is your choice. If patients stay within the the parameters of useing the prescriptions you vilafy you are no more under the influence than if you have enough pot in your system not to have pain. If the majority of people who actually and only used it within the limits of it's prescription directions that would be fine. Not one person that I know, and I know plenty, stay within those limits. It is a smoke screen and an excuse where they usually use both. The number of phoney prescriptions are significant and the number of crimes associated with so called "legal pot" are a significant drain on the public economy. Most people do not want to shop or live near a head shop. What I find incredible is ANYONE would say smoking pot is somehow more healthful than useing a medication. Smoking anything is not healthful. End of conversation. So not friendly? 
it is no wonder i rarely frequent these heated topics 
and from some of the comments here 
one wouldn't think that Some People were friendly about anything !!!
   but the old saying still applies
Walk in someone else's shoes for a while
and have a decent conversation with someone
 for Heaven's sake
and not on a forum thread 
before you try to be the judge, jury and prosecutor  
i just love all these holier than thous 
i guess they think they are the only ones 
who are without sin
and can honestly cast any stone at all ?????
the drama is worse than daytime soap operas
and i don't even own a TV
and the attitudes 
are rather amusing
and so very sad 
to say the least

as long as you don't hurt your fellow man
i am very heterosexual living in a neighborhood of many homosexuals
but The Bible and my conscience tells me to love my Neighbor... Do you think I am not going to love them
because they have a different sexual preference than i have ???
of course not
i can accept them & love them way faster
than i ever would be able to accept
or forgive or even think of loving 
the repeat child molestors & worse 
who just so happen to also live in my town...
but that is a waaaay different story 
pot is not to be even slightly compared with that
it is not the scourge on society some would try to declare
and the fact that it is still illegal
to most of the people in this country
makes them take drugs way worse for them
and drink alcohol which has worse side effects
it only keeps our National deficit up
brings in more shady characters
from other countries too 
profitting from Us and growing our Herb,
shooting people who happen to wander
into their supposed territory
when they grow in <<< Our National Forests >>>
leaving tons of trash and hungry pitbulls
roaming around , eating ranchers sheep and goats
this is not the basic MO of a pot head
these are vicious people who have nothing to do
with the spiritual aspects or medicinal benefits
from the herb...
just there for the money and they don't care what they have to do to get it
they are the wolves in sheeps clothing and we are just the sheep but if it is made legal
we can solve the Deficit Problem in our Country
and if moderated well and used responsibly
then people would be smoking weed
or cooking with it ideally
if it was more plentiful
and not having to rely on morphine "& oxycontin
to deal with their pains
and they can get through the day
in a much safer less destructive way

I'm glad I can wake up in the morning feeling good about a new life and know that I have a choice today on how I want to live my life. im glad that I am no longer spiritualy dead and now have morals and care about others. Im not against those people who use and their life is hell. I see it happen and can be grateful to see it because it keeps me clean. I have so much to say about this don't get me started or you will hear my lead. lol I hate breaking my anonymity but some things must be said. I talk to addicts everyday. Take them to meetings and they are grateful. I love to see hopeless dopefiends become dopeless hopefiends.

because i do not want to offend you in any way
i fully respect your beliefs & reasons for them
I love everyone, but the bad attitudes need to go
it makes me sad because hemp was very legal
& the government paid people to grow it
back in World Wars I and II
and it could be used to replace our forests for paper
and replenish the earth in so many ways
and it was made illegal
by some very shady people

that is fine for him
al the power to him...
but please
don't judge someone else's lifestyle
especially when someone is a decent productive responsible citizen
There are some people who just cannot find moderation in anything
but many of us have not gone overboard
so we don't need to be in recovery
so different strokes for different folks
that's what i say ...
